A Knock in the Heart

As they are laying down cuddling, Camila moves a little closer which was impossible, with these movements Lauren wakes up.

She feels Camila's arms around her and she feels her heart going faster, Camila then tenses realizing her wife had woken up.

"Please don't" says Lauren in a nervous voice. She turns around in Camila's embrace and hides her face on her wife's chest.

Camila could feel Lauren's tears on her shirt, they both are in difficult positions. She could feel heart hurting as Lauren cries in her arms.

As they lay down their bedroom door burst open, Ariel comes running towards them and they quickly pull away. Lauren begins wiping her tears and Camila receives Ariel in her arms.

"Hey monkey" says Camila, smiling at the little girl. Ariel looks at her smiling then turns to look at Lauren. "Mommy" says Ariel with a pout. It was noticeable that Lauren had been crying, she couldn't hide it.

Camila and Lauren turn to look at each other, Lauren is out of words. "Mommy is fine, how about we go and watch Bluey" says Camila and Ariel's eyes light up and she quickly nods. Camila turns to look at Lauren one more time before Ariel is pulling her to stand.

"Mama" says Ariel pulling on Camila's hand again.

Lauren just looks at them as they leave the room. She looked at the ceiling taking a deep breath, she wasn't ready to be around Camila. Lauren was feeling embarrassed, anxious about the future. She puts her hands on her belly feeling how her body has been changing, she sighs and makes her way to the bathroom to wash her face before heading down.

Lauren is making her way down the stairs, she is about to enter the living room when the doorbell rings. Lauren turns to look at Camila, puzzled but she shrugs her shoulders. Lauren makes her way towards the front door.

"What are you doing here?" Lauren asks mad, closing the door a little, using it to cover herself and not letting her come in. "I came back from my trip to find that you don't work there anymore" Rosalia explains, Lauren's patience running thin.

Camila is playing with Ariel in the living room. "What is taking your mommy so long?" Camila asks Ariel who doesn't pay attention to her. "Come here" Camila grabs Ariel and carries her to check on Lauren.

As she comes closer to the front door she sees Lauren with the door not open completely. She can tell something was going on so she looks out the door.

Camila quickly realizes who it is and she's furious. Rosalia looks at her and her eyes open widely.

"You have a child?" Rosalia asks in shock.

Camila is livid, she wants to say a lot of things and she's furious with Lauren as well. How could she let her be here in their front door?.

"Yes, she's my daughter." Lauren responds. Camila was about to say something but Lauren completely surprised her. "You are married?" Rosalia asks as well even though it sounds more like an affirmation.

"I like keeping my life private" responds Lauren as Rosalia looks at her left hand where she wears her ring.

"What is she doing here?" asks Camila, making her presence known to both of them. She's livid and Lauren turns around to look at her wife. The door opens a little more and Rosalia gasps as she looks at Lauren's belly.

"Oh my God, you are pregnant"

Lauren turns around to look at her with wide eyes, using the front door to cover herself once again. Camila looks at her hurt thinking that Lauren is embarrassed of her knowing she's pregnant. Camila looks at Lauren hurt and Lauren goes to grab her wife's hand but Camila pulls away.
