Tristan's short POV

"Ayokong malaman dahil...dahil..." nagdadalawang isip akong dugtungan ang sinasabi ko, dahil ako mismo ay hindi sigurado sa nararamdaman ko.

"Dahil ano?!"

"Dahil baka mahalin kita ulit...Carrie." see how dangerous slip of the tounge is? I said it without even thinking. And I hate myself for doing that.

I looked at her as she give me a slight smile. "Tristan, i still..."

I stood up. I didn't want to wait for her to finish what she's saying. I know it's something I don't wanna hear. "Kailangan ko nang umalis. Hinihintay ni Lauren ang tawag ko.

Tumalikod na ako at naglakad palayo. Narinig ko pa ang pagtawag nya sa pangalan ko pero nagpanggap akong walang naririnig. Hindi nga magandang idea ang friendly date na 'to.

I deserve that explanation. But what for? I have Lauren with me now. I am happy with her presence. But Carrie makes me feel confused.

Carrie's short evil POV

I guess being nice around him works, huh.

"Dahil baka mahalin kita ulit...Carrie." sweet words coming from my Tristan. Akala ko mahihirapan kong kunin sya ulit. I never thought that it would only take one dinner to get him. I guess I am that irresistable.

Narinig kong nag-ring yung phone ko. Si Daddy. I know he'll be happy to hear about the dinner.

"Dad." I answered.

"How was it?"

"Ok naman. I'm getting there, Dad." sabi ko habang guhit na guhit sa labi ko ang ngiti.

"That's good news. Make sure you get him. Magagamit natin sya to our advantage."
Gosh! Sana naisip nya yan 6 years ago. Eh di sana, maayos ang relasyon namin ni Tristan ngayon. Baka nga kasal na kami ngayon at bumubuo ng pamilya.

I ended the call. Ilang segundo palang ang nakakalipas, nagring ulit yung phone ko. Si Lauren. She must have found out about my trip here in Batangas. Malamang alam nya na rin kung saan ako nags-stay.

"Hello?"

"Cous, nasa Empire Batangas ka?" she sounded so casual.

"Yes, I am."

"Talaga?! Malapit dyan yung villa nila Tan."

"I know, we just had dinner." I want to implant an idea that Tan is cheating on her. "Didn't he tell you that?"

"Alam ko. Sinabi sa akin ni Tan. He said that you guys just bumped into each other. Actually, balak ko sanang sumunod dyan. Pero medyo masama ang pakiramdam ni Mamita. I can't leave her." Bumped into each other? Huh! Patawa ka!

"Don't worry. Ako na ang bahala sa boyfriend mo. Sisiguraduhin kong mae-enjoy nya ang vacation nya." I smirked.

"Really, cous? Sasamahan mo sya dyan?" Geez...she's so naive!

"I'd be happy to."

"Thank you so much, cous. Nararamdaman kong kailangan nya ng makakausap ngayon. I feel bad, cous. I can't even be there for him." and thanks for not being there for him. You're giving me the opportunity to steal your man.

"You don't have to worry about him, Lauren. I'll take care of Tristan."

Lauren's POV

"I'll take care of Tristan." I let out a sigh. Tama bang ipagkatiwala ko sa pinsan ko ang boyfriend ko? Ako dapat ang nasa tabi nya ngayon, eh. He's been quiet since few days ago. I know he's going through something.
