I got the idea a while ago that Miss Nelson suspected something. Today she asked me about my home life, and when I said it was fine, she asked me where the bruises come from. I can't tell about Henry, but I never thought they'd think my mom did it. So, I said I wasn't good with my body, and I ran into things, and fell a lot, which was a good lie because she never saw me at gym or recess. I think she bought it. It helped that I was actually surprised by her accusation of my mom. My mom hits me sometimes, but only when I deserve it.
