It's been three years since London and everything has been going to plan. Well for the band that is. I'm just floating about trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. Calum and I have decided to take a break from, well, us. We decided it was what's best for the band and I decided it's what's best for Luke and Calum's friendship. Calum and I have remained the same goofballs but just not so mushy and 'lovey-dovey' as before. Just two best friends from a group of 5.
Dance is still a big part of my life but ever since university has started I haven't really had much time to focus on it. I've been checking up on Xavier's group and still talk to them nearly everyday. I've been majoring in engineering at university and things are going good. It's not anything to do with dance or muaic but at least I'm good at it and I'll get paid a lot. Of course me being insanely anti-social resulted in me only making 2 friends and their names are Rodney (Rod) and Aaron. Honestly two of the coolest people I have ever met!
Right now I was clearing out my garage and setting up a bunch of amps and Ashton's drum kit for band practise. We agreed that every Monday and Saturday, band practise would be at my place.
I finish placing the last cymbal in the correct spot and then walk back into the kitchen to make some food.
"Hey honey" Dad says as he fixes his tie, "Are the guys coming over today?"
"Sure are" I smile back, "I'll do it Dad"
I walk over to him and fix up his tie.
"Thankyou Andie, oh I'll be home a little later than usual I'm going to be out with Eric"
Eric was my Dad's boyfriend. He's the guy he's been dating for the past three years. Dad brought him to the New Year's beach outting. Eric was a great guy, I could see that he was making my Dad happy.
"Okay have fun" I say as my Dad gives me a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Have a good day sweetie, I'll be back later" He grabs his keys, "Well maybe later then later" Dad winks.
"Ew! Get outta here!" I disgustingly chuckle as i lead him to the door.
"Love you! " He calls as he unlocks his car.
"Love you too"
I make some fried ham and cheese sandwiches seeming as I haven't made them in a long time and they loved them. I'm up to finishing of the last sandwich when I hear a large bang on the door.
"The hell is that?" I say to myself before turning off the stove and flipping the sandwich over onto a plate.
I carefully walk over to the door and open it bit, by bit. I see that no one was there. I open the security screen door and look around, when Calum appears out of no where and jumps in front of the door, scaring the life out of me.
"CALUM! You little" I hold my hand to my chest.
"Gotcha" He cheeckily grins.
"Well maybe I'll lock you out" I tease locking the security screen door.
"You wouldn't do that, you love me too much" He winks.
"Try me" I stand at the door, folding my arms.
"I smell fried ham and cheese sandwiches!" Calum shoves his face on the door looking in the direction of the kitchen, "Please please pleeeeaasseee let me in! I won't do it again! I promise!" He pleads.
"Swear on your batman bass guitar" I test him.
It was the bass guitar I bought him for Christmas four years ago.
"I swear on Gotham City that I won't do it again"
I unlock the door and walk back into the kitchen to clean up, Calum trailing behind me.
"No,no, no" He grabs the pan off of me, "I'll do that"
"Not this again" I roll my eyes, "Do I have to explain to you that YOU are the guest and I am the host?" I try and get the pan off of him.
"What am I again?" He jokes, "No you go rest in the living room and watch the Carrie Diaries while I clean up you understand little missy?"
"Fine" I sigh walking into the living room, I could hear Calum chuckling in the background.
I turn on the tv and flip the channel to The Carrie Diaries.
"There's a marathon today!" I smile.
I'd always wondered what it would like to be Carrie Bradshaw. Naive teenager by day and exquisite intern at a fashion magazine by night. Going to the biggest parties and events, meeting the greatest people. It seemed like it would be the greatest life to live.
A few minute later Calum comes into the living room, the plate on sandwiches in one hand and an actual sandwich in the other.
"These make me so happy" Calum grins.
"Any kind of food makes you happy" I point out.
"That's very true" He pauses, "But you wanna know what's not food that makes me happy"
"Oh please do tell" I overexaggerate.
"You" He smiles.
"Shut up" I push his face to watch the show.
Calum and I, well I can't really explain the relationship we have now. I still have feelings for him and he still has feelings for me. At least I think he does? He tells me how much I mean to him and I tell him how much he means to me. We don't really talk about getting back together because we know that we would both just make the decision one hundred times more awkward. So until we both have the guts to have that talk, shameless flirting is all that we have on our hands.
Calum and I continue watching the Carrie Diaries until the door bell rings.
"I'll get it" I jump up and skip over to the door.
"I'll hide!" Calum says before crouching in front of the couch.
I open the door and see Ashton, Michael and Luke standing there.
"Hey Dee!" They all said at the same time.
"Hey guys come on in"
"Has Calum come yet?" Luke asks.
"Nope, Just me myself and I" I close the door behind them.
They walk over to the couch and Calum springs to him feet.
"BOO!" He exclaims causing the rest of them to jump and Cal and I laughing our butts off.
"Screw you guys" Ashton laughs.
"Eat your sandwiches and then we'll start band practise" I say as I wipe the tears out of my eyes.
