This is New York. The city that if not all but most dancers all around the world dream of coming to, and here I am. Standing in Battery Park with my handicapped boyfriend (who will be out of the wheelchair in three days by the way) happy. That's the only emotion I can feel right now. It's happiness. I rest my hands on the fence that seperates the ground from the sea and look across to see the Statue Of Liberty in all its glory. The sun shining bright and the air cool.

"Beautiful huh?" Calum says from behind me.

"Well, I guess so? But I still find it kinda weird how the French just left her there y'know" I turn around and see Calum sitting there in his wheelchair with a bundle of red roses. My jaw drops, "What?"

"Happy 4 year-versary!" Calum grins.

"4 years for what?"

"Of our friendship! Which has now been brewed into a boyfriend to girlfriend-ship" He explains, still with a giant grin on his face.

"But we met in January and it's June Cal" I point out.

"Shut up and take the flowers!" Calum complains.

Chuckling as I take the flowers from him an elderly couple stop next to us.

"You two make a lovely pair" The lady says.

"They remind me a lot like us when we were young" Her husband smiles.

"They definitely do, but you didn't give me roses" She teases, Calum and I laugh, "You picked a good one" She says to me before walking over to the fence by the water.

"50 years together and she still resents me for that" The man chuckles before leaning closer to Calum and whispering something to him.

Calum starts laughing, "Thanks for the advice"

"You betcha pal" The elderly man pats him on the shoulder, "I'lll see you around" He waves before walking over to his wife.

"What was that all about huh?" I ask Calum.

"The secret to a long lasting relationship" He replies.

"And what would that be?"

"Well it wouldn't be a secret anymore if I told you would it?" Calum winks, "Do you like your flowers?"

"They're beautiful Cal, thankyou" I lean forward and give him a long, lingering kiss, which he returns.

"Sometimes I really hate this wheelchair" Calum whines as we start moving along the park.

"Why?"

"Because I can't just get up and hug you when I really want to"

"Don't worry you'll be free in 3 days! Then we can hug and run around New York City all we want" I cheer him up.

We've been in New York for a three weeks now and things are going pretty great. I've met up with a bunch of directors and choreographers and even got to take some classes at NYU. NYU is truly a great university, there's something for everyone. I've even put in a good word for the crew back at home, giving them more of a shot to come to New York and study here. For the boys they've been able to actually record andwrite songs with a whole bunch of artists, including the one and only Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low. Ever since that day that we actually chilled with them back in London for Calum's birthday, they've been waiting for that day where they could actually write songs together.

"So when will I be expecting to see you in a Beyonce music video huh?" Calum winks.

"Well not Beyonce" I correct him.
