His office demand wealth and masculinity. It's all white that had a shade of black. It's all glass that you can see the beauty of the Makati City. He sit-down to his swivel chair, cross his legs and looked at me. Damn those eyes again! It's making me nervous!
"Sir, what do you want to tell? Parang seryoso ata?" I said and the nervousness that I feel is very obvious. Shocks! Get a grip girl!
"I just want to tell you that thoroughly inspect every room in the hotel, the lobby and everything that connects to your job. I'm not telling that you're not good at it, and besides my company will not hire a lousy one. Pero kailangan maisaayos lahat sa deadline na gusto kong matapos. Prepare also for the designs and submit it to me directly for the decisions, so that it will finished in due time." Nakikinig lang ako sa kanya. Sinusulat ang kailangan.
"I will tell you the length of the period of time for making the designs when the tagaytay checking is finished. I think that's all for now." He said and looked at the paper in his desk.
I still looked at him smiling now. Di ko ma explain ang saya ng nararamdamam ko. For the first time in my life, there is someone who recognized my talent. Not my best friends, but my boss. It's a warmth feeling.
"I will do my best to this company Mr. Hamilton." I said with a happy voice. Sinong di magiging happy? Alam kong magaling ako sa larangan ng pag d-desenyo. Kahit senador ang aking ama, naging kilala ang pangalan ko hindi dahil sa background ng pamilya ko ,kundi sa resulta ng mga ginawa ko sa mga bahay ng mga mayayamang tao. Pero iba parin pag may tiwala ang may-ari ng pinag tatrabahuan mo.
I am still studying in De La Salle, when my classmate in one of my major subject saw my designs. She asked me to renew the aura of her room. Nagsasawa na daw kasi ito. I just asked her what she liked, and boom! She loved what I've made. And that's how started it all. Nakilala ako sa pamilya ng pamilya. Hanggang nakapag desenyo ako sa isang mall, at malalaking establishment dito sa manila,sa cebu at pati na din sa ibang bansa. Kaya nung nag apply ako sa Hamilton DC di na din ako nagtaka kung napasok ako as head department. I have savings already, but it's not enough for me to live the rest of my life.
Kahit nga sasakyan di ako bumili ng bago, kahit pa sabi ng mga kaibigan ko na kailangan daw yun para sa appearance ko. Sinabi ko naman na maganda na ako para sa appearance. Tinawanan lang nila ako, kuripot daw. At isa pang rason, may service ako noon, pero wag na nating pag usapan. Na ba-badtrip ako.
"Miss Aguinaldo?" he asked. Wondering why I am still standing in front of him.
"Sorry sir, I'm just happy with my first project here in HDC. And thank you for your trust." I said. "Aalis na po ako. Salamat ulit." I give him my sincere smile.
"Miss Aguinaldo. You can ride with me in my car tomorrow papuntang tagaytay." He said as he continued to read the documents in his hand.
Natataka man, pero nag tanong ako "Excuse me, sir?"
Binitawan niya ang papel at tumayo para lumapit sakin. Napaatras naman ako ng konti. He put his hands on his pocket and seated on the edge of his table, as he speak.
"Your car is parorot as you said, will it can survive down to tagaytay? "
"Ahm, nope?" I'm confused. Why the sudden concern about my car? At hindi niya nalimutan!
"So, what will you going to do?" he asked again, but now with his piercing eyes. Tsk! Not again!
"I will just ride taxi or bus?" I asked
"Bakit di nalang tayo sabay papunta doon? Mas makakatipid ka."
"Bakit tayo sasabay?" I asked again. And I saw in his eyes are dancing now with amusement.
