CHAPTER 18 - reality
I don't really want to leave Abigail in bed but I need to know who's behind the shooting earlier. Si Iris ang kausap ko sa telepono kanina, he's asking if I'm okay. Kaninang umaga ay may sumugod sa kanila ng asawa niya at pinagbabaril sila, hindi nasaktan ang kaibigan ko pero may tama ng bala ang asawa nito.
That's when I saw a suspicious van in the parking. Natatandaan ko ang van sa parking din ng building ko. Naging alerto ako at tinanong si Iris kung anong oras naganap ang barilan. He said it's four in the morning at nasa batangas silang mag asawa nag babakasyon.
Nag tiim bagang ako. Who are they? Nagpaalam na ang kaibigan at kailangan daw niyang asikasuhin ang asawa. Nabalitaan kong bago palang nagkabalikan ang dawala. Sinong tumira sa kanila? At ako ang isusunod? F*ck them! Binabangga nila ako?!
Marlon is a soldier that I meet in Mindanao which my agency sends me for a mission six years ago. When I go back to the table, I immediately asked them to leave. Nagtanong pa si Abigail, but I give code to Marlon, instantly he understood. He even cursed silently.
The moment they shoot, wala akong pakialam sa sarili kundi ang kaligtasan ni Abigail. Galit na galit ako. Pag itong barilang ito natapos, I wiped their asses out of this world. Naririnig ko rin na nagmumura si Marlon.
When I saw how Abigail trembles in fears and in shocked I promise to myself that I'll surely find those bastards and kill them in my bare hands. Kahit pa nang inihiga ko ito sa kama ay nanginginig pa rin ito. Gusto kong magwala.
"What do we have here?" I asked Marlon who's talking to my assets.
"Bryan and Jin is on the line, they have a lead." Imporma nito sakin. Good. Dapat lang na may lead na sila. I pay them doubled to do the work.
"Speak." I commanded. Seryoso ako. Hindi ako ang nakasalalay dito, nadamay na rin ang babaeng mahal ko. hindi ito p-pwede. Umupo ako sa harap ng computer.
"Chief, we check the plate number, and it's what we expected it's a sham. But gladly when they are shooting we have the chance to take their faces in the camera. It's the Russian chief. And we also found out that it's from the biggest syndicate in Russia. If we're not mistaken they are from the group of Alexei Bogdan." Imporma nito. I cursed. What now?
"Continue." Nagpipigil ako sa galit. Is this about the last mission?
"For now, we're searching for more details; we will back at you at least within twelve hours." Jin informed me. Si bryan tahimik lang sa tabi at busy sa laptop nito.
"Why it's twelve hours from now? Why not in thirty minutes?" I demand. Ang tagal ng twelve hours. Ano to matutulog nalang muna kami? Damn no!
Jin chucked a bit. "Chief, we do everything we can do. We even give some cash to the informant coz they will not talk unless we give at least nine digits. It's the biggest syndicate in the world chiefs-"
I cut him off. "I don't give a damn! Give those bastards what they want!" I shouted.
I live my life now at peace. Ni hindi ko na nga nabigyan ng katarungan ang pagkamatay nila john at matt. I give them space! What they want now?!
Nahinto si Bryan sa ginagawa nito. "Chief, relax, we're doing every damn thing. You want us to ask for help in the agency? Or in FBI, CIA? We can ask them, malakas ka doon! Ah...How about the one in Japan? Yamashita? The leader had a big debt on you right?" nagbibirong sabi nito sabay tawa ng malakas.
