< Chapter 69: I’m A Dirty Boy >
♥ Jamie’s POV: ♥
Well today is finally the day where Justin comes home from the hospital. It’s only been 2 days since we, so-in-so, got back together and he called Selena yesterday to break up with her but she was in a concert in L.A, I think, and he didn’t get the chance to.
But, you know… Whatever… I’m used to it anyway.
“Okay guys turn all the lights off,” I told everyone, and Phoebe rushed towards the light switched and everything went dark. You see, I wanted Justin to feel special after the rough time he’s had being in the hospital. He was trying really hard to remember everything but he just couldn’t, and it was giving him a bigger headache. So I invited a couple of people— even Noah, who he has no clue about. Because Justin met Noah while I was still pregnant, that means the memory he has of him is also gone, so he didn’t recognize Noah at all. But still, when Phoebe went to visit him in the hospital, he got to meet Noah again so he has a fair idea of who he is. It was the same situation with Allison. But the weird thing is that he was really shocked to see Chaz again since, technically, we hadn’t seen him in a long time so he doesn’t remember the time Chaz came back to surprise us. But it’s okay because we’ve known him since childhood.
And basically, Ryan left a while ago to pick up Justin from the hospital. The doctor told Justin that he’s ready to be released because his leg was doing better now, but warned him to be careful with it because it’ll hurt him. He also advised him not to run or do sports yet for obvious reasons, and when I asked about his amnesia, Dr. Garfield told me to give it time and that by now, there isn’t really anything they could do. They don’t know if it’s permanent yet or what, but that got me really scared.
If he never regains his memory, he’d probably still love me. But the point is that we shared so many precious memories, and even the arguments were things we can’t forget about. They teach a lesson to our relationship, and making up after a fight is what makes our relationship stronger. He can also probably make the same mistakes since he forgot what he learned from them. I just don’t think I can live like that. It just wouldn’t be the same. If he can’t remember how he got me this huge ass belly, then it’ll never be the same.
DINGG DONGG..
“Everyone, hide!” Chaz shout-whispered, and we all ducked behind couches, tables and chairs.
Pattie, who was next to the door, tried opening it in the dark and then soon, she turned the lights on and everybody jumped up at the same time, yelling, “SURPRISE!”
I watched Justin’s face as his jaw dropped and Ryan led him inside the house. “Welcome home, doofus!” I teased, running over to him and giving him the biggest hug I’ve ever given him in a long while. I felt his hand brush my hair back and his lips press on my forehead.
“Aww, did you do this for me?” he asked, hugging me back.
“Yeah, you like it?” I winked, as people gathered around us, each wanting to hug Justin. Before Justin could answer my question, Chaz attacked him with a huge hug.
