< Chapter 80: Feelings >
♥ Justin’s POV: ♥
When I opened the door, I didn’t have time to process Ryan practically jumping on top of me in a man hug. I stumbled backwards and caught my balance, reaching out to his waist to get me back on my two feet.
“What the f—?”
“—CONGRATULATIONS!” he yelled, though not loud enough for Jamie to wake up to.
“Shh, I want her to get some rest,” I immediately hushed him, pulling away from his hug to point at Jamie sleeping on the couch.
He covered his mouth with one hand. “Whoopsies..” he said. “I was just really excited. You guys are having a boy, aren’t you?”
A smile tugged at the corner of my lips and I nodded proudly. “Yeah, thanks. A little baby boy. We nicknamed him Lil J, because we don’t know what to name him yet but we want it to start with a J,” I explained.
“That’s so cute!” a new voice squealed, and that’s when I noticed Allison walk in. “You two are the most adorable thing ever.”
I smiled at her. “Thanks.”
She nodded before Ryan walked to the kitchen without any warning, beginning to dig for the cabinets and looking for something.
“What are you doing?” Allison asked him.
He turned around and shrugged. “Might as well start on the tacos. Jamie’s not going to be asleep forever, you know.”
Allison looked back at me and giggled. “He’s an odd one.”
“Trust me, I know,” I grinned, signaling towards the kitchen to let her know we should help Ryan out. She took the hint and we walked into the kitchen together and I began to pull out all the ingredients we needed.
“Let’s get ah-cooking,” Ryan clapped his hands. “You two will be my two helpers… You can be called Butler’s Assistants.”
“Oooor…” I dragged out the word, “we can skip the nicknames.”
Ryan pouted, “Why?”
Allison laughed behind me and I turned to look at her.
“Just let him have this,” she whispered, and I smirked, turning back towards Ryan.
“Fine,” I sighed, causing him to clap cheerfully.
“Okay, let’s get started on the meat. Assistant Number 1, can we please have the ingredients for that?” he began.
