I was sat next to Jamie's father, Danny, when Jamie's mom, Jade asked to speak to me. I was a bit taken aback seeing as Jamie was in the bathroom which meant we're having this conversation alone.

"Of course, yeah," I answered, standing immediately. The last thing I wanted to be was disrespectful. I mean, the woman's like my second mother. She pretty much thinks of me as a son and, in a way, she did help raise me. So I agreed and followed her upstairs to her bedroom. As soon as we stepped in, I realized this is going to be a serious conversation. Why else would we move from downstairs to a more private place to talk?

"Sit where you want, honey, I'm going to lock the door so we're not interrupted. I think this is really important," she smiled lightly at me. My heart beat kicked up a bit. What did I do? As if she read my mind, she quickly added, "And don't worry, it's nothing bad."

I relaxed my muscles and sat comfortably on one side of the bed. She sat beside me and we faced each other.

"Justin... I want to say that I love you very much because I feel like you're, in a way, part of the family and your mother and I are very close so we've loved each other's children as soon as we laid eyes on them. I actually remember the night you were born perfectly. Danny was actually the one that drove your mom to the hospital with me on the passenger seat and your dad comforting your mom on the back seats. It was very sentimental for me to hold you, because you were your mom's first, and only, child plus I was pregnant with Jamie at the time and was very excited to meet her.

But Pattie was there in the birth of Jamie as well. You were in the room, probably sleeping in her arms. Your mom fell in love with Jamie just by holding her just like what happened to me with you. And it made me so happy to see that you two got along so well and became instant best friends. Except maybe you two get along a little TOO well, and that's what I wanna talk about," she said.

I blushed a deep red, "You want to talk to me about sex?"

"Not exactly," she laughed, "But I am gonna say that if you two are doing that again when the baby's born, please please please please use protection!"

My cheeks felt hot from all the blushing and I nodded, refusing to look into her eyes.

"However, what I wanted to tell you is that please take care of my daughter. Don't go breaking her heart because it hurts me too. She told me about how you ignored her for those 2 weeks you were gone and it really hurt her. I just couldn't help but wonder why you did that. I mean, I understand the whole pregnancy thing is new for you but you gotta be there for her," she looked me dead in the eye and I flinched.

"Jade, I'm sorry.. There's a whole story behind why I did that. It wasn't my fault, I promise. I love Jamie," I said honestly.

Her eyes widened and she leaned in shock. "You love her?" she gasped.

"With all my heart," I promised.

"Have you told her yet?"

"Of course. I let her know every single day," I said. Jade's eyes sparkled and her smile widened larger than Russia. She attacked me with a bone crushing bear hug, causing me to lose my balance and fall backwards on the bed.

"Thank you for keeping her happy," she kissed my cheek and released me.

"Anytime," I smiled and she recollected herself with a questioning look on her face.

"Then what did you do to make her so upset before I left?" she asked and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"I think it's time I tell you a little bit about what it's like being a celebrity and what management think it means to keep up an image," I say.
