< Chapter 103: Take Her Away >
♥ Jamie’s POV: ♥
When I opened the door to my house after we had arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the entire house was dark, all the lights off. My stomach churned and I quickly knew something seemed suspicious.
Justin stepped up in front of me, switching the lights on and, immediately, a crowd of familiar faces jumped up from hiding positions yelling, “SURPRISE! Welcome home, Jamie!”
My jaw dropped as I stared at the group of family and friends, who had huge smiles on their faces. “And congratulations on little Jason,” Phoebe added.
I blinked, trying to fight back the urge to cry as I saw the house decorated with signs that welcomed both Jason and I home from the hospital.
“You guys..” my voice was shaky, emotions rushing all over my body. “You didn’t have to do this.”
“Yes we did,” Ryan butted in, a smirk on his face.
“We even got you cake,” Justin grinned and, as if on cue, Chaz brought out a lovely, chocolate cake and placed it on the table. Eyeing the cake and how delicious it looked, I shifted my attention back to Justin, furrowing my eyebrows slightly.
“Wait…” I paused in thought, holding Jason close to me. “You were in on all this?”
“Of course I was,” he rolled his eyes, as if it was the most obvious thing. “It was my idea.”
“Aww,” I murmured softly, before Allison stepped forward, a shy demeanor overcoming her body.
“C-Can I hold him?” she asked, her cheeks slightly flushing red. “I just.. I love babies,” she added with a giggle.
“Of course you can,” I smiled, gently passing my son from my arms into Allison’s. She held him carefully, her face bright at the sight of Jason.
“He’s so cute, oh my god,” she cooed. “He looks like both of you two.”
Justin scratched the back of his head and blushed before I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist. I hugged him to my body and he nuzzled his nose into my neck, pecking the skin lightly. We stayed in that position for a while, and I inhaled the air around me, happy to smell his scent.
“We have a baby,” Justin mumbled into my neck.
“I know,” I whispered back, pulling away slightly and kissing his lips quickly before turning around to see Chaz standing behind Allison.
“I wanna hold him next!” he whined, reaching his arms out at Jason.
“Don’t drop him,” Allison winked teasingly, before handing the sleeping baby over to Chaz.
