< Chapter 97: Looks Like A Real Party >
♥ Selena’s POV: ♥
I pulled up on the side, parking my vehicle before checking my make up on the car’s mirror again. I let out a smirk, winking at my reflection before pulling the keys out of the ignition and exiting the car, grabbing my purse before completely closing the door. I looked up, walking past the front yard and onto the porch. I sniffed the air as my ears perked up to the sound of music blasting from a distance not too far away from where I stood. I raised one finger and rang the doorbell, checking out my nails and how I picked the perfect color for my outfit. The sound of the doorknob turning caught my attention and I released my hand to the side and looked up at the person in front of me.
“Well hello there,” I smiled, wide enough to show my perfect, glistening teeth in the process. “How have you been, Ryan?” Justin’s best friend looked around as if to look for any other body that was witnessing this moment. “May I come in?”
He looked at me and blinked, shocked at my short sentence. “You,” he breathed, eyeing me evilly, “are not supposed to be here and you know it.” I could see him gritting his teeth, his gaze held firmly into mine as his hateful eyes stared into my unamused ones.
I flipped my hair to the side and smirked at him, finding it hilarious that he actually thought he was threatening me. “Are you done?” I asked, laying a hand on my hip. “Because if so, I’d like to come in now.”
He scoffed. “I’d have to be a psycho to ever let you in here.”
“Really?” I tilted my head to the side, finally amused. “I guess that’s what you are—a psycho.”
“Come again?” he blinked in confusion. I gave him a wink before turning around and walking off, keeping my head held high as I felt his eyes burning into my back. I let out a soft giggle to myself after hearing the door slam shut. Knowing I had gotten step one done, I pursued onto step two, making my way around the house until I reached a side. The movements of curtains flowing from inside through a window captured my attention and I sighed in relief, knowing that this plan could work out.
Slightly pushing the curtains aside, I climbed through the open window, landing in the kitchen which was, thank god, empty.
♥ Megan’s POV: ♥
The music continued to blast, a few people out on what we called the dance floor while others sat at the table, chatting and having fun. Soon enough, we were supposed to start those playful, weird but fun baby shower games and I was excited to see how those would turn out. I currently sat at a table, drinking a few cups of juice and enjoying the songs that were being played by the DJ.
I leaned forward, resting my chin on the palm of my hand as I scanned the crowd of people, my eyes settling on the couple of the night. A few feet away from me sat Justin, who cradled Jamie in his arms as she sat on his lap. Her head rested on his shoulder, her nose nuzzling his neck as a huge smile took over her face. Justin occasionally stroked Jamie’s beautiful hair and I could tell they were talking about something because their mouths would move every now and then, though it felt like they were just whispering joyful things to each other. I’ve never, ever seen them so happy before in my entire lifetime. I somehow knew their bond was stronger than anything else I’ve ever seen, and I would have dreams by the end of middle school portraying the two of them as a couple.
