Chapter 391: The Double Dungeon

[Minotaur Dungeon]

Despite the second Dungeon door appearing before them, not one adventurer dared to enter it as they all begun wondering on what to do. After all the difficulty of this dungeon had already exceeded than what they were expecting, and since the very source of this change had finally appeared, they all can expect that the difficulty inside the second Dungeon door would be much difficult than the minotaur itself.

With such predicament all team leader of each adventurer group was called for a meeting on how to handle the door and what they should do. As the leader of the group, Alex was naturally pulled along while making him as the center of attention due to his groups achievement so far.

"Thanks for joining us team leader Alex, and I congratulate you from defeating the minotaur boss, such an achievement was unprecedented and all of your members showed promising talent" [Adventurer leader 1]

"Thank you for the compliment, but I assure you that we wouldn't have wok the battle if not for my team's competency and our ace" said by Alex

"Oh please! It's clear that everything went well due to your leadership, no need to be humble about it" [Adventurer leader 2]

Hearing their words, Alex couldn't help but give a dry laugh as they seem to thought that they were moving in due to some plans. In actuality they don't have a plan at all and just went all out trying to kill the boss. The reason why their moves connect so well was because of their synergy and all of them understood and knew how Shun moves.

From his set of movements alone, each and every single one of them immediately understand which opening should they exploit to defeat the enemy. Everything was simply instinctual.

"Alright! That's enough congratulating the group that had subjugated the minotaur boss, what we need to discuss now is how to tackle the newly formed Dungeon door that appeared in the boss room all of the sudden out of nowhere" [Adventurer leader 3]

"Shall we send a scout party ahead? With them scouting the terrain inside, we could get a clearer picture" [Adventurer leader 4]

"Yeah shall we do that?" [Adventurer leader 1]

"As much as that is a good idea since it is a standard practice, but I advice not to do it... upon investigation of our team, the newly formed gate has a unidentified mana complete different from the quality of mana we use... what I can say is that it's murky... since projection magic works by relaying the same energy signal from one place to another, doing the same thing as we always have done would yield to nothing and just wasting our efforts" [Adventurer leader 5]

"She is right! Plus the entrance of this second Dungeon has a door... which is different compared to the usual open gateway door of the regular Dungeon... if what I presume is correct, then j suspect that once someone enters the Dungeon, the door itself would automatically close" [Adventurer leader 6]

"What? Then does that mean that if we sends scouts inside the second Dungeon, there would be a possibility of them being locked in and isolated until they clear it?" [Adventurer leader 3]

"Thats right! So I suggest that we should all enter the second Dungeon together" [Adventurer leader 2]

"Wait! Everyone enter together? Isn't that basically suicide? Plus how can I trust you guys to have my back when danger comes? As far as I know I only met you guys today... sorry but at this point I only trust my group" [Adventurer leader 4]

"I understand everyone's distrust with each other but in this scenario, we need to prevent any team from being isolated... plus it's not like if you die in the Dungeon, you would die for real... at most you would just be teleported outside the Dungeon" [Adventurer leader 2]

"Still..." [Adventurer leader 4]

Hearing that suggestion, everyone in the meeting room became silent as they hesitated on what choices they shall make. After all this is once I'm a lifetime chance to conquer this dungeon.

The reason for this is because they defeated the minotaur boss. If all of the adventurers inside got eliminated, the boss monster would respawn again, making all their efforts be wasted.

However trusting a fellow Adventurer that is part of your team with your safety was something unprecedented. After all it is common knowledge that adventurers only think within their own success and in this line of career, backstabbing, thievery, and exploitation was as common as they can be.

So entrusting a stranger to cover your back was one of the most dangerous choices one can make in this profession. It was a matter of goal vs safety.

In the end after weighing the pros and cons, everyone deemed to trust each other just one time for this raid. After all there was one thing that everyone knows when diving inside a Dungeon, and that was you never truly die inside.

Once you die inside through betrayal, you would then be teleported outside the Dungeon and revive like some sort of checkpoint game. So with that as the case, they can take revenge on the person who betrayed them right outside the Dungeon, somewhere the Dungeon rules does not apply and death is permanent.

In the end everyone voted to enter the Dungeon as one huge group. Of course that included Alex himself.

Once the meeting ended, Alex returned to the group and relayed what the discussion they had just talked about. At the same moment all the leaders rallied the decision to all adventurers inside the Dungeon.

With the decision being made final, the other adventurers then had no qualms as they begun reorganizing thier ranks.

Tankers/shielders will be on the front, attackers would just be behind the shielders. Mages will be at the center of the formation, while long range attackers will be at the back. Lastly special units will be at the front.

Because of that reorganization, Shun and the others were separated. Alex became an attacker, while Misha and Sephiria were designated at the center of the formation. As for Shun, he was stationed at the rear.

With that decided, everyone then prepared to enter the second Dungeon.
