Jeff walks into the room that was once a little boys, he remembered the fear in his eyes when the man had slit his throat, taking a few breaths of the air, he looked at some photos of the boy.

"I never asked for this..."

Stated the killer solemnly to the faces that stared back, forever in a captured smile. Shoving the photo down, he walked out of the room and then walked to the parents room, they were there with slit faces . All sitting like neat little dolls.

He stayed there for a while before he'd turned and left the decaying corpses, it was not until he'd stopped at the back yard that he'd started to feel something, it was cold and it was very pungent in his chest.

What could it have been?

"I'm just tired, that's it.. I over did it..."

He muttered as he left the crime scene to return to the house, that girl best not have tried to escape or to pull a fast one on him, or he'd cut her legs off. But as he arrived home, there she was, asleep and curled into a ball with the chain on her neck.

"I'd thought she would have ran, guess she's giving up."

He muttered into himself as he went to leave for his own room, but he things she said had caused him to halt in shock and in surprise.

"...Jeff...the dark...the dark is scaring me....don't ...don't do it Jeff...you..you promised you'd never hurt me...JEFFERY!!!!"

--

Krysta woke with a start and felt her breath catching in her throat, it was the same dream she'd kept on having over and over...

It made no sense at all to her and all she wanted to do was to forget it. Staring up, she caught the eyes of Jeff who just gaped with his knife in hand, he didn't know how to react . The girl shook her head and just lay back down.

"It was only a nightmare.....I'm used to them...."

She muttered and turned from him, not wishing to see that face a moment longer, it just filled her with sorrow and it filled her with pain, knowing that the monster there, was once a person she'd looked up to more than anyone in her life.

---

Jeff watched as she turned and did the same, he went to his bedroom and lay on the master mattress, looking up at the plan ceiling, a song began to play in his brain as he dozed off into a restless slumber.

"Hay come on slow coatch!"

"Jefferey!"

I remember when a smile was just enough

"You can't catch me!!"

Things were simple then, You were not so tough.

"Oh I can too, you slowpoke!"

I miss the times when you would say,

"Stop cheating! Jeffery!"

C'mon and dance another day.

"Stop sucking at this then!"

If you could trust yourself to see;

"You're my best friend Krystal!"

And if you could give yourself some room to run free

"You're mine too Jeffery!"

For a moment, remember when.

"Forever?"

I know that you would come back again.

"Forever....Krystal"

"You won't leave , you won't abandon me.....right?"

"I'd never hurt you, Jeffery"

Waking up, for the first time in a long while, the sensation of hotness was running down his cheeks and no matter what he tried it never stopped.

Jeff was crying.
