Mia
She just walked off the elevator like that it was over. I tried to make things right, but what she except me to do. She thought I was going apologize for coming up with a plan that was supposed to expose the real her. She was just as friendly with the fellas, so what she happen to not sleep with them. She was still a girl that lived for attention from guys and hung around to make it look like she was a girls' guy. I sure as hell wasn't going to apologize for sleeping with Shawn. If anything I was doing her favor. I was getting her out of relationship that everyone knew it wasn't going last. He's a hoe and likes to have more than one. Grant it, he may have had strong feelings for her. They weren't that strong seeing how he slept with me after getting into his head. He was weak and that's one trait that Emerald liked, she had more control over him without being too aggressive. What got me was when she said her and August still talk. Did that mean that they were still together or just friends? At this point it didn't really matter. My problem wasn't with them and never really was it was with Emerald.
Ever since she came to the school, well not really, it wasn't until she caught the eye of this guy that I liked. He was the first guy that had me head over heels for him. We knew each other since our freshmen year and stayed close friends. We didn't have sex at first because when didn't want to mess up our friendship even though we had some type of feelings for one another. Until over the last break summer, it was mid-July and he came to visit me. We connected and it just happened. I was so ready for a relationship, but then when we got back to school. I kept hearing about this new girl that everyone was cool with. It seen everyone in the crew had already met her at the summer program. Every time, we would arrange something she would be too busy or didn't feel like going out. Funny thing was he would ditch me the same nights. When she finally did hand with us, it was like he completely ignored me for Emerald. She sat there talking to people whenever a conversation was directed at her. He sat right there laughing, talking and having a good old time. Emerald ain't pay that much attention to him because her and Shawn seem to be connected at the hip. But the fact he had things in common with her was enough to make my skin boil. She soon sensed my dislike towards her and asked me about it. Of course I said nothing because at that point I came up with the thought of keeping your enemies closer. Soon he stopped being so far up her ass that he came back around, but I still was hurt by it. We never became an we or even acknowledge that we had something.
I have managed to not pay attention to the things that she does that annoys me, but after this whole thing it's unmanageable. I never understood the good girl front, the whole good girl outside and bad girl inside. She lived her life like she depended on that moto. She would come off as a nice sweet girl, but would cut you with her looks and words. She wasn't a nice girl, she was a mean girl. She always found faults and flaws in someone else, but could never find those things in herself. She was an actress to the fullest and it worked my last nerve. I went back up to work to be stopped by Amber.
"Hey, Mia can I talk to you in my house?" "Yes" I followed her into her office as she closed the door. "I noticed the interaction between you and Emerald. Is there anything I should know before I have the two of your working together?" "No, it's a personal problem that will never come up in the workplace." She nodded, "Okay, because I would like to you have you handling and giving her paper work when I'm not here. Of course, you still won't know too much information about what is going on, but I will be depending on you for more paperwork and filing." I nodded a little saddened that I will not be moving up in rank. I took this job thinking about actually becoming more involved, but from the looks of it I will be doing so. What made it worse was seeing Emerald dress and talk with people that was way above her pay grade. She walked around like she was the CEO of both companies and I knew she was judging my little position. I sighed once I sat down at my desk and tried to pull it together before answering my phone that was constantly ringing since this merger talk started.
