She woke up to arms wrapped arm her body. She touched down in Atlanta yesterday evening. Just in time to watch. Now, she was laid next to him slightly waking up from her deep sleep. The sun was beaming through the curtains. She felt him moving pulling her closer. "You up?" He asked "Semi" she said turning to look at him. He still had his eyes closes but that smirked was on his face. She rubbed his face, "What you smiling for?" "Because you made it." "I told you I was going be here." He finally opened his eyes and those brown orbs shined due to sun light hitting them. "I like the new hair." "I wanted something different." She said as he guide his hand through her vixen curly bob sew in." "Don't get two happy now. It's still not all mines." She said causing him to chuckled. He lifted her face up so he could get his morning kiss. "It held up last night." She bite his lip causing him to flinch. She looked at him with a smile on her face that managed to look a little devilish. He fixed that quickly by slapping her bottom half. "Max" "Say my name like that one more time." "Make me." He rolled so he was now on top of her and leaned down to kiss her again. Only this time, it was a little more passionate.
It's been three years, Emerald graduated from college, has her CFP, and now was almost done grad school. She was working hard up in NY. She and Max been at it for a couple months now. She hasn't talked to August since she caught him cheating 2 years ago. She still support him as artist and goes to shows here and there but that's all. Max was something new. They ran into each other at an event at school. All the alumnus came out to show support and help the up and coming students. That's where she found out that he was living out his dream playing with the Atlanta Braves. They caught up and ended up exchanging numbers, but of course never used them. It wasn't until Em found herself in Atlanta and at a baseball game that she realized she knew one of the players. She sent him a text the next day saying, "I aint know you got that good over the years. Now, I see why you in the big leagues. Anyway, good game. Nice to see you in action," with a picture of him playing. He responded a hour later or so, "hold up, we got to link up if you still here I'm Atlanta." So, Em took him on that offer. They met at an nice little restaurant that he was clearly a regular at. They talked about life after college and how they both was enjoying everything now that college life was behind them. The most interesting thing was either one mentioned someone being in their lives and they didn't because they honestly wasn't interested in each other like that. They kept intouch with one another eventually finding themselves in this position.
Meanwhile, August was on his grind working on him. He was staying to himself more and just spending time with his family that he formed. Of course, he been creating music and just taking his time at his pace. When him and Em broke up it was hard for him because she was his go to person. His anchor, but he knew he messed up. He tried to get her to give him another chance and to try to make things right, but once Emerald told him that he would be getting only half of her because she wouldn't be able to trust him he understood. Now, he's at ease with where they are even though he would love to just say hey to her. He would ask Stefanie about her and she would dismiss him. He found it unfair that she can know about him and he knew nothing about she was at in life. He had his thrills here and there but nothing like what him and Em had.
The same thing goes for Emerald. Grant it, she was talking to Max, but that was fresh and new. She been single since their break up, and quite frankly there were moments when she wanted to call August and crawl back to him. In fact, she did. Those weeks she was visiting ATL for work and to see Stef, she would find herself back in his arms. At first, she never told August her true reason for coming,. But once he tried to talk about them getting back together. She would let him go on thinking maybe she could put the cheating behind her, but one night turned sour and so did their chance. Emerald had to be strong and not call, August had to admit his faults and realize he did it to himself. So this is where they found themselves, Emerald laying next to Max in his Atlanta home and August continuing to live his life with music and his makeshift family.
********************Ya this is the end. It has been real and I know some of ya probably hate me for this but they had a good run trust me. I want to kind on focus on starting to go in the real world. But if you have any questions for any of the characters please feel free to ask.
