Outsider's Eye

Claudette and Mia have befriend each other since knowing the other knows Emerald. Since that day honesty and thankful, they haven't been worried about Emerald. They was getting along just fine. Claudette was waiting at a restaurant for Mia to come. She had to tell Mia about Emerald knowing about her cheating on Greg. The words Emerald said to Claudette have been on her mind ever since the whole ordeal. She just don't know how to cut Craig off and quite frankly don't want to yet, but she knew if she didn't Emerald would say something. She was going ask Mia for some advice about the situation. Mia came through the restaurant and made her way over to Claudette giving her a hug. "Hey, how have your week been?" She asked sitting down. Claudette sighed a little basically telling Mia not that great. "What's going on?" "Okay, so you know how I told you I was in a relationship with Greg." Mia nodded, "Yeah, but I got this other dude." "You cheating on Greg." She said shock. "Yeah, but it's not like that." "But you just said you got this other dude. Are ya sleeping together?" Claudette nodded her head feeling embarrassed. "So, did Greg find out?" "Nah worse, Emerald knows." Mia eyebrows shoot up and her eyes got wide, "How?" "She knows the other dude?" "How?" "They work together. That's like his best friend and he's always telling me about her. So I wanted to meet the girl to see what she look like and how they were together. Then, she came to the table." "Dang, she ain't tell Greg yet?"

"No, but I know sooner or later she's going. Craig even said she's been distance from him since finding out." Mia nodded her head, "I mean I understand that. Emerald don't play that cheating game to well." "That's why I need your help. I wasn't able to tell Emerald my side, she only said her piece at Greg's place." "Hold-up, when this happen?" Mia asked holding her hand up. "Around an hour later after the failed lunch. I walked into Greg's place to see them on the patio eating and talking. I needed to talk to her but she ended up talking at me." "So, where do I come into play?" "Since you know Emerald maybe you can help me talk to her. I need someone that can be the middle person." Mia sat there thinking about it. Mia and Emerald ain't that cool and she may feel like she's getting ambush. Mia figured she would just sit there and interject whenever she feel like either one was really listening. "Okay, I will be there for you. When you plan on doing this?" "Craig wants me to do it soon because he wants his homie back." Claudette said laughing. "Why won't he talk to her?" "He low-key scared of her, but won't admit it." "But why?" "He says she has another side that he just don't want to see."

Meanwhile back at the headquarters of White and Partners, Emerald was sitting in her office about to hang up the phone after talking to a client. Craig came up to a door and just stood there. "Hey, can we go for lunch." She looked up sighing. He looked like a lost puppy and as much as Em ain't want to admit it she was missing her friend. She wanted to tell someone about her amazing trip with August. She had Stef but she was always selective about what information she shared. With Craig, there was an openness that she enjoyed. He didn't know who she was dating, so it was a sense of he only knew some information. He walked in her office, "Come on, Em I know you hungry. Plus, it's on me." She looked back the computer screen before answering, "Okay, I'm hungry anyway." Craig started to smile as Em got up to get her stuff. "You driving, right?" "Yeah" "Okay, cause I may need to hit you a couple times." That smile Craig had on his face dropped from her statement.
