Outsider's Eyes

Emerald walked into the restaurant looking around for Claudette. She just left saying bye to August, so she just hoped this dinner goes well because her mood was already blah. She spotted Claudette sitting at the table talking to someone but didn't think much about it. "That's okay. I see her," she said to the hostess at the door. She made her way over to the table to notice it was Mia sitting at the table. Emerald sighed from the smell of bullshit as she got closer. "Claudette" she said as the girls looked up to see Emerald standing there in a pair of leggings, t-shirt, and sneakers. "Oh, hey" they said as they took in her attire. Em ain't feel the need to dress up or put on some jeans for Claudette plus the restaurant was laid back. She sat down not acknowledging Mia. The waitress came over and Emerald put in her order for Sangria and the sample appetizer platter. "So, I called you out here so we can talk about me and the whole love triangle thing." Emerald nodded, "Yes, but can we start as soon as my drink is on its way." Claudette nodded looking over at Mia, while Mia decided to speak. "Emerald, just start the conversation it's not that serious." Emerald kept going through her phone as to say she ain't hear Mia and will not be listening to her for the rest of the dinner. As soon as Emerald spotted the waitress, she lifted up and started the conversation. "Okay, so why are you cheating on Greg and why not just leave the relationship?" She asked as the drink was placed in front of her. "It's not like I planned on cheating on him. I'm happy with our relationship it's just he is all I know." Emerald shook her head, "You not happy if look outside your relationship for something. Now, I'm not saying you looked with the intentions to cheat, but you also didn't stop once you started." "I guess in that aspect you are right, but you still don't understand Greg and I. He wasn't always this stand-up guy you know now." "Yeah, but you also decided to stay with this guy. And once you decided that you decided to leave his past in ya past and move forward. So, I do still not understand why you ain't just leave but instead pull someone else's feelings into this?" "She ain't pull your feelings into you did that to yourself." Emerald took a big gulp of her drink, "Claudette, I was talking about Craig's feelings in case you needed clarification."

That was the first sign that Claudette either needed to check her girl or be ready for anything that might go down. "I didn't know it was going get this serious and I didn't realize Craig was truly feeling me until I met you. I started to hang with Craig to first see what it was like hanging with another male besides Greg. It wasn't sexual at first and then something happened." "You started to like Craig is what happened. Look Claudette I understand you have been with Greg for what feels like your whole life and never experienced another guy, but you need to figure out what you want before you end with no one." "But it's not that easy," before she could finish Emerald caught her off. "It is you like Craig but love Greg by default. And I'm going tell you don't nobody like default love." Emerald was about to finish when Mia decided to speak again, "Dang, you ain't even let her finish her thought. You sure do think you know everything about a relationship since you finally in one." Emerald looked at Claudette; "Get her" was all she said. "Mia it's fine. We decided to have dinner and we also decided to get chewed out." Emerald nodded smiling as she kept eating and drinking. "So, when are you going tell Greg?" Claudette started to shake her head to say no, "I'm not ready for all that yet." "No, Claudette you got to tell him today, shit you should've told weeks ago. I'm not about kept your secret a secret. You need to tell him and be honest. Yeah, you might break his heart but it will be worse if you continue this nonsense."

Claudette looked like she was on the verge of crying when Mia pulled her into a hug, "You always judging someone like your shit don't stink." "Claudette I understand you confused and everything but cheating is not the answer." Claudette looked up, "I know but I just need a little bit more time to talk to Craig." "Talk to Craig about what? I don't want to know forreal, but I already know where this about to go. Look I got to go." "You know what Em you fake. She came to you to talk about the issue and you just make shit worse. You act like cheating is the worst thing someone can do." "Claudette why is she here? This was supposed to be me and you." "She is supposed to help be the middle person, because I didn't know how it would go." "Middle person? You thought I was going come here and fight you or something? Look you picked the wrong person. She don't like me and I don't like her. As you can see she always manages to switch things around and make them about me or her." "Because you always try to make yourself look like an angel. We all know you have done your share of dirt."
