"are you scared of me?"

Calum

Nervous, I opened the door with closed eyes. Chattering filled my ears, and a few cries could be heard. I opened my eyes and saw it wasn't like Michael teased.

It looked like a normal high school lunch room.

Some kids sat by themselves, and others sat together. Some were eating lunch, and others were writing in books. Some were talking to themselves, and others were sleeping. I looked around and saw about 20 teens and 5 adults. Probably more, but I wasn't counting.

I tried to spot Ashley, but I couldn't. There were a few people I thought were Ashley, but they turned and it wasn't them.

"Sir, she's not here." The nurse told me.

"Then why'd you bring me here?" I asked her.

"I didn't. You walked up here." She told me.

"Oops." I said, scratching the back of my neck, feeling a bit embarrased.

"Come on."

She led me to a room in a big, wide hallway. It was brightly lit, and everything was white. I looked in one of the windows of the doors and saw a big padded room. Pillows were everywhere, and a boy who looked 16 laid on the floor sleeping.

I followed the nurse to the end of the hallway and she pointed at the door to the left. I hesitated to open the door, and when I did, I saw Ashley sitting on a pillow, looking at her hands.

"Ashley?"

She looked up at me. Her eyes widened, and she quickly stood up. I slowly walked up to her, slightly afraid.

"Calum?"

She ran up to me and hugged me. I heard her laugh and she squeezed me tightly, almost choking me. Terrified, I let go and wiggled out her grasp. She looked up at me with a confused look.

"W-What happened? What's wrong?" She asked.

"How have you been?" I asked her.

"They're letting me go next week."

"How long have you been here? I was on tour and haven't been counting the days."

"About two months. I sent the letter last month."

"I know. I tried visiting, but I was going on tour the next day."

"You guys went on tour?"

"Yeah, a small one."

I noticed she was standing closer to me. I took two steps back, just in case.

"Why're you stepping away from me?"

"Um, I, um."

"Are you afraid I might hurt you?"

I couldn't think of what to say. She looked terribly heartbroken. I sighed, and hugged her.

"I am afraid you might hurt me." I confessed.

"Why? Did I hurt you before?"

"Yes. Twice, I think."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's not all your fault. You really don't remember any of it?"

"No."

"Not eve-"

"Jack? Who is he anyways?"

"You don't remember him?"

"No."

"Oh."

"Who was he?"

"He isn't important any more. Just forget about him, okay?"

"Okay."

I smiled.

"So, how was tour?"

A/N:

A happy chapter, FINALLY! I know all the past chapters were very very scary and stuff but I decided to tone that down.

Even I got scared when I was editing it.
