Lunch was very enjoyable with Gerard. We talked about everything and anything, it was almost like I knew him forever. After lunch we walked around downtown London and looked at all the shops. I really enjoyed myself and forgot about everything that's happened in the past three years.
"Hey, you need a new phone, don't you?" He reminds me.
"I think I'm okay, Ronnie has mine right now," I say.
"Right, Ronnie has yours, which means you're not getting it back," he laughs.
"I guess so," I laugh with him.
"Here, just take mine for now and I'll get another one," he hands me his phone gladly.
"I'm really okay, I can get it back from him eventually," I hand his phone back to him.
"You'll need this now though. How else are you going to talk to your prince?" He throws the phone into my bag. "Don't worry about it, I can get another one. Plus, I remember the number on that one, so I can always call and check in on you."
"Why are you being so generous?" I finally ask.
"I just want you to be happy. I want everyone to be happy, so when something like this happens, I try to help as much as I can. I'll do anything to help you and Craig back together."
"I don't even understand why we're apart. Does this mean Ronnie basically kidnapped me?" I ask.
"I guess you could say that. I'll help you with this though, just stay by my side. I'll find Craig for you but until then, I'll take care of you. You must be confused and scared," he wraps an arm around my shoulder as we walk.
I actually wasn't as scared or confused as I should have been. I think Gerard's confidence was rubbing off on me after awhile. I know I'll see Craig again, we're too close to be far apart for so long. My problem is acting like everything is okay when it's really not. Where am I going after Gerard leaves with his band?
"Hey, when are you leaving London?" I ask, not wanting to know the answer.
"In about a week. If you're not comfortable with staying here with Ronnie, I'm sure you can just come with us," he offers.
"Oh my god, thank you," I force a laugh, "I don't even want to be around these people for one day."
"No, I understand. We have space at the hotel and then on the tour bus, just don't fall in love with any of the other guys while you're with us," he laughs.
"Whatever," I punch his arm, "I only want one person in my life right now and I can't have them."
"I'll get you back on track. You're just going to have to put up with us being on tour for awhile, if that's okay with you," he smiles warmly.
"That's okay with me," I smile back.
It was late by the time we got back to Jacky's house. We were planning on going straight to the tour bus, but I had to give Jacky his phone back and tell him I lived through the day.
"Where were you two all day?" Jacky asks as we drive up.
"We explored London for awhile, it was really nice," I say, getting out of the car. "Oh, and here's your phone back." I made sure to delete my call log and text messages before handing it back to him.
"Julie, I think Ronnie wanted you to stay with us tonight," Jacky rolls his eyes at the thought.
"I've actually got plans, if that's okay with you," I look over at Gerard and then back at Jacky.
"Just be careful, I care a lot about you," Jacky gives me a hug.
"I know, I'll be fine. I'll call you in the morning, okay?"
"Take care of her Gerard, I'm counting on you," Jacky gives him a look.
After saying our goodbyes, we headed out to where Gerard and his band was staying. Ironically, it was the same hotel Escape The Fate was staying at. My Chemical Romance was staying at the very top of the hotel, so we had quite a view from our rooms.
"Alright, Juliet, the room at the end of the hallway is yours. I'm just a door away if you need me, okay? Don't hesitate to wake me up if something's going on."
This feels just like the day Ronnie cheated on me, it's like life is repeating itself. I didn't even meet the rest of the band, I just went straight to my room and called Craig.
"Hey baby, what's up?" I miss him a lot, I just don't want to admit it to myself.
"I miss you a lot, Juliet. The show sucked without you tonight. Are you still in London?" He asks.
"Yes sir, I'm actually at the same hotel, weird right?" I walk out onto the balcony and stare at the city lights. It feels like nothing has changed since last night.
"Maybe that's how they got you. That's pretty creepy," he forces a laugh.
"I'm actually here with another band."
"God, Juliet, how many bands do you know?" He asks sarcastically.
"It's Gerard's band. I haven't met them yet though, I just went straight to my room. Gerard is helping me out a lot," I admit.
"Gerard Way? So you're okay right?" He questions.
"Yes, and I guess so. I don't know, I don't feel okay. I depended on you and now you're not here, so I'm kinda having a hard time. I'm used to you always being at my side and now I feel alone." I really miss being close to Craig, just his presence made me happy.
"I'm not gone and you're not alone. When we meet up again, I'm not leaving your side. Ronnie better pray that I don't run into him. Gerard's a good guy, just stay with him until I find you."
"That's the thing, I'm going on tour with his band until we meet up again. Is that okay?" It doesn't feel right. I shouldn't be touring with Gerard, I should be touring with Craig.
"As long as you're not with Ronnie. Who's phone are you using by the way?" He asks.
"Gerard gave me his, so save this number into your contacts," I laugh. It feels good to laugh.
"You better call me every chance you get," he teases.
"I will, trust me," I can't help but smile. Talking to him makes me feel a lot better.
"Good. I think I'm going to have to go, I didn't sleep at all last night. Now that I know you're okay, I can sleep."
"I'm sorry about that, I promise I'll be okay tonight. I love you, go to bed now." I don't know if I'm really okay, but that's my own problem, not his.
"Okay, I love you too. Call me tomorrow morning, alright?"
"I will." Or at least I'll try to, I don't know what will happen in the morning.
