The drive back to my house was fantastic. I told him about my new job, Belle, and basically everything that's happened while he's been gone.
Ronnie told me about prison, his new soon-to-be band, his new guitarist and everything he's experienced these past two years.
We finally get back to my apartment complex and Ronnie is in shock. "This place is fucking nice," he says as we pull into the gate.
I park in my same shaded spot and head towards my building with Ronnie.
"Julie!" Belle waves at me. I walk up to our building and greet her.
"So who's this?" Belle smiles and gestures to Ronnie.
"Oh," I lock my fingers with his, "this is my boyfriend, Ronnie." They quickly introduce themselves.
"Did you finally move on?" Belle whispers to me.
I laugh and shake my head, "No, no, this is my jailbird. I got a call this morning to pick him up, so now I have my weirdo back."
"What? You actually waited for him?" Belle smiles at me.
I pull him closer to me and wrap myself around his arm, "I would wait forever for him."
"Well, it was a pleasure to finally meet you, Ronnie, and it was great seeing you again, Julie. I gotta go run some errands, so I'll catch y'all later," Belle hugs us both and walks off.
"She seems nice," Ronnie says while dragging me up the stairs. I cling to his arm the entire walk up to my apartment.
We run into Brad on our way up the stairs, "Hey Jewles!" He looks at Ronnie and then back at me, "Did you finally move on?"
"Oh, no way," I wrap myself around Ronnie. "This is him. I picked him up earlier this morning."
"Oh, it's an honor to meet you then! You must be pretty fantastic if Juliet would wait that long for you." Brad stops for a moment, "Wait a minute, you look familiar."
Ronnie looks at me uncomfortably.
"You wouldn't happen to be that guy from the news? Ronnie Radke right?"
"Uh, yeah," Ronnie says awkwardly.
"You, sir, are a legend. It was a privilege to meet you and shit, I probably haven't seen the last of you," he laughs.
"Well we should probably go. I need to, uh, feed the cat," I grab Ronnie's hand and pull him upstairs.
"Nice to meet you!" Brad yells.
"You too, man," Ronnie yells back.
"I am so sorry my neighbors are so weird," I finally say as I shut the door behind him.
"Don't sweat it," he laughs a little, "I need to get used to people again."
"I missed you so much," I pull Ronnie close to me.
"I've missed you more than you will ever know." His smile starts to fade, "But hey, I need to ask you something."
That's probably not a good sing, but it's not like anything bad happened while he was gone.
"What's up?" I ask shakily.
He wraps an arm around my waist, "You didn't cheat on me right? I mean, I didn't want to ask this question, but Max told me that you were chilling with the band and I just feel like they've always liked you too much and I just don't-" I cut him off with a kiss.
"When I moved here to be with you, I left all of my friends and family. The band was all I had when you were gone," I take the both of his hands and look at him, "But don't worry, I won't be talking to them anymore."
He smiles again and that makes my heart melt. "I don't want to sound controlling or anything, but I really don't want you talking to any of them. We can find you some real friends," he pulls my into a hug.
I bury my face in his shoulder, "As long as I have you, I'll be fine."
