Narrator
It's a busy Thursday night deep in the city. Allie and North are sitting in a fancy high class bar / restaurant named Talons, one of North's favorite places. The glass counter top is clean and the bartender's are in black uniforms. Music is playing through the speakers at a soft quiet tone. There are large flat screens hung up on the walls to accommodate the many different angles people are sitting in.
Allie feels out of place in her black joggers and camouflage t-shirt while North looks like she belongs there in her work clothes. Everyone sitting and lounging around looks like they could be North's co-workers. Allie's massive amount of tattoos and her stretched ears make her stand out even more. Her black hair is in a nice slick braid.
North is wearing black stockings with her black work heels. Her grey skirt is short and her white blouse is exposing some of her cleavage. You can almost see the bra that's holding her breasts. Her hair is brushed behind her ears and hanging down her back. Several men have been making love to her with their hungry desperate eyes. Her silver clutch bag is sitting on the counter in front of her.
"I'm sure one of these guys is gonna attempt to grab your number by the end of the night." Allie said.
North grinned to Allie's comment. "Too bad I don't like men."
Allie chuckled. "Ever find any sweet babes here?"
"None of them are gay, usually." North answered.
Allie nods and looks forward at the line of numerous shot glasses from a distance. She hasn't had hardcore liquor in a while. She's developing an itch for it, but she doesn't want to waste North's money. The bartender is moving up and down her space, cleaning glasses and preparing drinks.
"So how's it going with Alix? It's been two days since your over the phone fight." North said.
"There's still awkwardness between us, but we sort of made up I guess. She's practicing hard and I can barely catch her alone," Allie said. "I'm honestly exhausted on top of that, dragging myself to her practice and then to work."
"I think you should take a day off, maybe tomorrow? "North suggested.
Allie sighed sadly. "Tomorrow's the last day of practice before the game. She'll probably want me there."
"How's her mother?" North asked.
"Screaming and chanting hard at the bleachers and its just practice. I had to move away from her earlier today. I just completely left the gym for thirty minutes." Allie answered.
North scoffed. "That's hardcore support."
"What am I going to do North? I don't want to lose another girl." Allie said.
"Like I've been saying, support her. That's the best thing you can do. She needs her knight and shining armor by her side." North said.
"This armor is damaged. Big time." Allie said.
"I doubt she notices. You probably always appear so brave and strong to her." North said.
"I want some shots." Allie said changing the subject.
North laughed. "Well that was out of the blue."
"I haven't had anything for a while. I need it. Something to loosen me up." Allie said staring at the shot glasses again.
"Well thank god I'm driving." North said grabbing her clutch bag.
Allie shrugged. "Maybe I'll just drink when we get home. It's not like I don't have liquor there."
