Alix woke up before Allie did. She got ready and put on her navy blue sweatpants, a white tank top, and a navy blue sports bra. She wore the colors of her volleyball team. She put her hair up into a neat bun and even made breakfast for Allie; grilled cheese and some juice. Packing lunch also became a priority.

Allie woke up in a good mood, instantly remembering what happened between them last night. A kind breakfast just topped it off for her. She never thought waking up to another face would ever make her happy. She also got ready quickly, rushing through her draws for clothes.

She pushed herself into some denim blue jeans and threw on a tight long-sleeved grey shirt. Her hair was put up into a ponytail and today she decided to give her ears a break. She grabbed her favorite hoodie and put that on too.

"Allie do you have a spare jacket or something?" Alix asked softly.

Allie looked back at her. "Yeah, just check my closet."

Alix opened the door next to Allie's bathroom. She revealed a small closet with several jackets, coats and sweaters hung up on hangers. She reached and grabbed a random sweater. It was a warm orange and it was big.

Alix smiled, turning to Allie with the sweater in her hand. "Can I take this one?"

"You can have it actually - I don't like orange." Allie shrugged.

Alix smiled and quickly put it on. Allie laughed and grabbed her work schedule and a few other things that were important. Alix grabbed her black bag and threw it over her shoulder, ready to walk to the center. They both walked out of the room, into the hallway, and stopped at the front door.

"Ready to walk?" Allie asked, holding the keys out.

"God I hope it's not cold outside." Alix cringed.

"Don't worry we can walk hip to hip and hold each other to keep warm." Allie laughed.

"I'm looking forward to it." Alix smiled.

Allie unlocked the door and Alix stepped out while Allie followed. The hallway was cold and dead.

Alix couldn't beat the queasy feeling inside her stomach. She knew Allie was the reason, but she didn't even know her that well to make the assumption that she liked her. Those kisses last night definitely confused her but made her feel safe and wanted. She knew for sure Allie was gay but wasn't sure for herself. She wanted more kisses and sweet talks to help break the wall of confusion she kept running into.

Both girls arrived at the center with noses that were red and hands that were numb. They were laughing and shivering at the same time. They made it through security and sped up the large colorful hallways into the court. They were right on time, thank god.

"Carter! Right on time!" Coach yelled. He waved at both girls with a smile on his face.

"Good morning Coach!" Alix yelled back with a huge smile on her face.

Alix and Allie got settled on the bleachers. Allie noticed that the whole team of girls was staring both of them down.

"Your team looks like they want to kill us," Allie mumbled.

Alix quickly looked over at her team and looked back down at her bag. "They'll get over it."

Alix took off her new orange hood and set it down next to Allie. She was now in her practice wear, ready to hit the court and warm up despite her spiteful teammates.
