Narrator
Allie and North sip the last of their liquor. North grunts and attempts to stop her throat from burning. Allie laughs madly, enjoying the internal pain. They're in the kitchen and a mess of shot glasses and bottles are sitting around the kitchen table. Allie's in her red laced bra, but she still has her black joggers on. North decided to get comfortable, wearing nothing but a white silky robe.
Allie devoured her wings with no problem at Talons. North winded up ordering a small dinner dish for herself and more wings for Allie. It turns out Allie's appetite was stronger than her emotions.
The girls are more than tipsy. North is feeling looser than ever and the fun for Allie is just beginning.
"That was disgusting." North said.
Allie laughs and points at North. North involuntarily laughs with her and slaps Allie's tattooed finger away.
"Ms. Fancy robe over here. All to get a little drunk." Allie teased.
"I wanted to get comfortable!" North said.
Allie's face is almost puffy looking. Her eyes are low and her coordination is slipping from her. North's cheeks are red and sore from smiling so much.
"I kinda wanna ... sit." Allie said.
North sighed in relief. "Please. We've been standing since we started drinking."
"Maybe pass out - actually." Allie continued.
"Lay down? Maybe?" North suggested.
"I'm totally for it. Especially since I have to work tomorrow." Allie said.
North grabs Allie's hand and pulls her along down the kitchen. Their steps are clumsy and wobbly. The cold floor makes North twitch as she attempts to guide Allie when she can barely guide herself.
They eventually make it into Allie's room without falling or tripping over their feet. Allie launches herself on her bed and North falls down on it after her. They're laying parallel to each other, looking up at the ceiling in a daze. Allie's mind is blank and she appreciates it.
"I haven't drank in a while." North said.
"You definitely haven't." Allie agreed.
"I've noticed your journal is gaining dust ..." North said.
"I forgot all about it. Why are you so eager for me to read it?" Allie said.
North smiled to herself. "I didn't keep it intact and safe for no reason."
Allie slides her head over to North. North pushes the top of her head against Allie's cheek.
Allie whispered, "You're absolutely right. I probably should make use of it."
North becomes more distorted of her surroundings. Her last drink is starting to catch up with her. The harder it's hitting her, the more she wants to spill all her truths to Allie. North turns on her side and slowly slides her leg over Allie's pelvis. She stretches her arm below Allie's breast.
"If this is too much, you can tell me." North said.
Allie returns the gesture and wraps her arms around North. Allie's touch sends jolts of electricity through North's sensitive vulnerable body. Her breath skims Allie's chest, slicing her skin and causing tiny goosebumps. Allie likes the way North's robe feels against her. It's soft and soothing.
"It's okay." Allie said.
"What're you thinking about?" North asked curiously.
Allie laughed shortly. "Nothing ... and it feels so good. I feel like I have nothing to worry about. It's like I'm stuck in a peaceful limbo. What're you thinking about?"
