"I know you told him Kendra." Allie said, holding her cell phone to her ear.
"I'm sorry! I was just in some feelings and I needed to talk to him." Kendra said. She knows she screwed up.
"You don't have to talk to Jim about me." Allie said.
"It just came out. I was talking about everything and it just slipped." Kendra said.
Allie rolled her eyes and looked around her room. She was in the middle of changing her bed sheets when she decided to call Kendra. Her black sheets are rolled up in a large ball sitting by the door.
"I thought you didn't talk to him anymore." Allie said.
"Well I don't, but I was feeling low and you were too busy with your ... girlfriend." Kendra said awkwardly.
Allie smirked. "It's not that hard to believe."
"No, it is hard. It's also weird. Your first girlfriend is nothing I expected her to be." Kendra said.
Allie sat down on her naked bed. "Yeah, well keep your pretty mouth shut. I don't need anyone knowing my business."
"She's your girlfriend. What, you think PDA isn't going to happen between you two?" Kendra laughed.
Allie bit her lip. "Alix doesn't want anyone to know - yet."
"Ohhh, so it's Alix that doesn't want anyone to know - 'yet'." Kendra mocked.
"Yes. I respect that." Allie said firmly.
"And do you know why?" Kendra asked.
"She said she doesn't want any outside influences, which I think is good. She wants a clear mind to make her own decisions." Allie said with confidence in her voice.
"Or she just wants to keep you a secret because she's one of those girls that are so desperate for someone else's attention they'll date anyone." Kendra said.
"Or you're just stupid and can't understand that coming out is not easy for everyone." Allie shrugged.
"I don't trust her." Kendra said quietly.
Allie scoffed. "You don't even know her."
Kendra cut her laugh short. "And you do? You haven't known her for more than a month and you're already dating."
"I know some important things about her." Allie argued.
"Like what? Her favorite color? When's her birthday?" Kendra said.
Allie paused. "We haven't discussed birthdays, but I know things about her. I know her insecurities, her pet peeves, she's freakin' ambidextrous."
"And what does she know about you? Other than your staggering sex drive." Kendra said.
"She knows about my crappy memory issues. I cried in her arms yesterday afternoon for the second time." Allie countered.
"Allie, you're missing the point." Kendra said. "There's a difference between knowing someone and then really knowing someone."
"That doesn't even make any sense." Allie said.
"Does she know how you turn to alcohol and drugs when you get pissed? Or how the person you're paying rent to has this grudge against you." Kendra said.
Allie sighed. "No."
"Do you know anything about her family? Her background? How about when she gets sad or depressed?" Kendra continued.
