Allie

I came home around two in the afternoon. I tattooed a few people; nothing super big or major. Tuesdays aren't my favorite days of the week. Then again I don't really have a favorite day of the week.

It's three in the afternoon and I'm sitting here on my couch, bored. I still have my clothes on from work. My black skinny jeans were starting to irritate my legs, since I recently shaved them. My hair was down, keeping my neck and ears warm. I switched out of my shirt into one of my old white tank tops.

I played on my phone for several minutes, until I heard knocking on my door. No one was supposed to be coming over; maybe Kendra, but she would have called. I got up and approached the door, a little sketched out about the whole situation.

"Who is it!?" I called.

"It's Alix..." I heard.

"Alix?" I repeated. It quickly registered in my head and I quickly unlocked the door and swung it open.

I saw her standing there, innocently. Her hair was up in a ponytail and she had a dark red scarf wrapped around her neck along with a thin black jacket. She was breathing lightly, staring back at me. Her nose and cheeks were red and she cracked a smile.

"I'm sorry this is so random... I don't have your number." She said softly.

I smiled back. "Come inside."

I stepped aside, holding the door open for Alix. She walked inside and I let the door go. It slammed shut and I locked it. I turned back to Alix a little nervous. She slid her hands in her pockets and smiled cutely. I could tell she was cold.

"Don't act like you haven't been here before." I laughed.

She chuckled. "I'm sorry... I'm usually awkward in other people's houses."

"You don't need to feel awkward here," I said softly. "How'd you get here anyway?"

"Oh, we had a small meet today. We were measured for our new team tops." She said.

"That's cool." I nodded. "Would you like help - with your jacket?"

She nodded and smiled at me. I walked around her and grabbed the collar of her jacket. I pulled on it a little and watched as she slid her arms out the sleeves. I put her jacket up on my small door hanger as she turned around to face me. She was taking off her scarf.

"You walked here all by yourself?" I asked.

"Yeah. I didn't want to go home..." She said. I heard the sadness in her voice. She placed her scarf on top of her jacket.

"Why not...?" I stepped closer to her.

"My parents are just, not people I want to be around all the time. I figured I'd come here..." She bit her lip.

"Well, you've come to the right place, Carter." I teased.

She giggled. "You look lonely."

I chucked. "A little."

My eyes dropped down to her dark red crew neck. She was matching, like usual. Alix cupped my face. I jerked a little because her hands were freezing. She closed her eyes and our noses touched. I closed mine and got ready to feel her lips. I haven't felt them in 48 hours and I'm dying to feel them again. She tapped kissed me and moved her hands off my face.

"I'm sorry..." She said quietly.

I was confused. "Why are you sorry?"

"I kinda jumped into that kiss so soon..." She shrugged and looked down. "I didn't even ask you."
