I ordered a few drinks and drank them. This restaurant isn't really a restaurant, its a gigantic seafood shack with a bunch of sea stuff decorating the entire place. It's something different and I'm glad it's not a fancy place like Talons. I belong here, grubbing on crab legs and jumbo shrimp.

I'm wearing the red plaid lumber jack flannel I wore for my first anniversary. My blue jeans are ripped at the knees and my hair is wavy from the braid it was in. Alix is siting next to me at the large wooden rectangular table. She has on black tights and white silky blouse that covers some of her butt. Her varsity jacket hangs behind her chair.

The girls are talking about the game reciting every play and criticizing each other out of love. It's really all jokes. I'm a little tipsy. My hand rests on Alix's thigh. The drinks have loosened me up to the point where I can put the cheating situation out of my head.

I asked quietly, "So how did it go with your parents?"

"She didn't talk to me much." She answered.

"It was definitely awkward then." I said.

"My dad was the one who dropped me off." She said.

"Did he have anything to say?" I asked.

She shrugged, "Not much. Yet. He seems to be taking it easier than her though."

"Yeah, mama Carter has definitely took a hit. It's not your fault though. You can't hide yourself forever." I said.

She shakes her head, "I don't regret it."

I give her a soft smile. At least her parents didn't throw her out. It was actually the only thing I could think about on the way home. What if my girlfriend turns out like me?

"So .. my place tonight? Right?" I said.

She nods her head, "Where else?"

I smirked, "Well are you wearing something fun underneath?"

"Not this time. You missed that window." She said.

"Okay so maybe I deserve that, but I just wasn't feeling good." I argued.

"And now you feel fine? Hopefully." She said.

I mumbled, "I'm fine ..."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

I nodded, "I'm sure. So what about those college coaches? Did they contact you yet?"

"A few of them did. Some emailed me, but I said I'd look into them tomorrow. Tonight's my break from volleyball and life." She said.

"Wow," I said. "What about the California deal?"

She shrugged shyly, "It still stands."

"Do you even want to play for their team?" I asked. "I mean, you also have to think about how decent the team actually is right?"

"That's what I'm not sure about. I wasn't necessarily planning to play for them. I'm going to explore all my options babe, don't worry." She said.

I nod my head. I just want her to be happy. She deserve's the best team out there. I know I wouldn't want to be on a team that doesn't win.

"I think it's cute that you wore that shirt." She said.

I smile. I thought she wouldn't notice at this point.

"I figured it would be a good time to throw it on." I replied.

She chuckled, "Just to take it off."
