~Hana~
As soon as we hit earth, I collapsed on the hard floor of the cave. I never realized how much I loved earth until I left it. "Are you okay?" Angie asked me.
"Yeah, just tired,"
"Let's get her outside into the sunlight." I felt Damens strong arms wrap around me as I was brought outside. The brightness made me squint. But he was right, I did feel a lot stronger. "I'm better now, thanks," Damen put me down and I looked around.
"Do you guys know where that lake is that Kirk was talking about?"
"No," he said and Angie shook her head. "Well, I remember I went on a field trip to a lake nearby. It was called Alk Pond. I don't know how to get to it though."
"That might be it," Angie started walking. "Let's get back to our house,"Once we were inside their house, we started to head upstairs. "Hey guys, where have you been?" Derek came over to us. I was about to ask why he was here but then remembered he lived here. He was so freakishly similar to Damen. "We went home for a bit,"
"Dude, why did you bring your girl to the underworld?"
"None of your business,"
"Well why whenever I want to bring one of my many girls home with me, you don't allow it?"
"Because you want to sell them to the demons that will pay you, you couldn't care less about those girls as long as you get the money. And if Our Master found out He would not be happy,"
"How did you-"
"Twin argument starting, let's sneak upstairs," Angie whispered to me. "Okay," I replied and we quickly went upstairs.
"Let's research about ack pond,"
"You mean Alk pond, and yes, do you have a laptop?"
"Yeah," Angie headed over to a room and I followed her inside. It must be her room. She had indigo walls with a daybed in the corner and a desk by the wall. There were some posters on the walls of cartoons. "What are these cartoons from?"
"O-m-g you did not just say that about my special addition anime posters."
"Sorry,"
"Dont you watch anime at all?"
"I don't know what it is,"
"What have you been doing with your life? Okay, you seriously need to go on YouTube and watch some episodes of Tokyo Goul, Fairytail, Lucky star, Angel beats, Clannad, Kanon , Hetalia," she listed off like a hundred names that I did not recognize. "....But for now, let's find the location of Alk pond."
She took out a Mac book and started typing something in Google.
"There! It's at the other side of Rainswell. Not many humans go there anymore though, so that's a bonus,"
I looked over her shoulder at a map of Rainswell. The door opened and Damen stormed in. "Take a chill pill," Angie told him before turning back to the screen. "So we found it. What now?" I
"Kirk said that she goes there at dawn to watch the sunrise. So let's go then,"
"Okay. So what should we do in the meantime?" I asked.
"Well you and me can go for a walk to pass the time," Damen replied.
"No, you and me were going to watch anime together, right?" Angie asked me.
They both looked at me expectantly, "uh.. I'm going to go back to my house for a little, I sort of want to be alone,"
"I'll drive you," Damen said. We walked out to the car and he drove me home.________________
~Damen~I had wanted to spend time alone with Hana but since my annoying sister made her feel bad, she has chosen to be alone. At least we're together now. Hana was looking out the window of my jeep at the trees. "Do you like the fall?" I asked.
"Yeah, but my favourite season is spring"
"We can still go on that walk,"
"No, I'm okay," darn. I was hoping she wound change her mind. Facing the fact that she didn't want to hang out with me after I dropped her off, I slowed down. "Why did the jeep stop moving so fast?" She turned to look at me.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" It was fun to answer her questions with more questions. She got an annoyed look on her face that I thought was cute.
"Can you not answer my questions with more questions?"
"Why are you asking me to stop doing something your doing too?"
"You can be so annoying sometimes," she looked back out the window. "Do you think she will be there?" Hana asked.
"Who?"
"Dina. The angel Kirk talked about. What if she stopped coming to the lake when Kirk did? What if this is all for nothing? What if I can never go to heaven? I'll be living my like with so many questions that I'll never know the answers to!"
"Calm down," I interrupted her.
"That reminds me," Hana's face got more serious.
"I saw your collections of blades in your dorm room,"
I froze. "And?"
"And I saw one that looked familiar,"
"What do you mean?"
"I've been having dreams. They're more like visions from the past. About how I fell. Someone pulls out a knife. The exact one you had in your collection."
I took a breath. "Well, that's because I saw the guy who cut your wings. And I killed him. When I did, I took his blade."
"Why didn't you tell me this?"
"Because I didn't want you to think I knew about your wings, and I couldn't stop it. I was ashamed that I couldn't get to you in time," we got to Hana's house and I parked the jeep.
"I wouldn't think that!" Hana turned to look at me. "I think you came at the perfect time. Now, I don't have to worry that the guy who removed my wings is still out there, and I think I owe you a thank you,"
Hana leaned in to kiss me. As we kissed, I couldn't help but regret telling Hana that. Because even though I have his blade, I know for a fact that the killer isn't dead. He's still out there somewhere. I just don't know where.
