As soon as I got home I snuck into Selenes office and went on the computer. Selene wouldn't be home from work for another couple of hours.
What should I look up? It's not like I can just type 'what was Hana Rayes life like before the year of 2002?'
So I decide to start off by googling 'events on May 23 2002'
I scrolled down a little bit and found an article on myself. All of the information I already was aware of though. Parents unknown. No one knows what caused this terrible tragedy. I decide to look for what else happened that day around Rainswell. A few robbers happened but that was on other days. I was on like the 7 th page on Google, (yes I'm that desperate) and read that some guy reported seeing a human fall out of the sky. Stupid. But I got an idea. Maybe someone threw me off a roof or something. I wouldn't be alive, I thought. So far I got nothing. I searched for lost daughter may 2002. A lot of articles came up, but none were near Rainswell and none of the pictures looked like me. Actually, it's depressing how many daughters had apparently gone missing in one month. Maybe I never had parents and was at a foster home and they didn't want me so they threw me out. But how did I get these scars? I had so many questions swimming in my head and decided to have a break. I walked over to the kitchen to grab a snack and headed up to my room. I made a mental list on what I knew and didn't know.

Know:
-I was found in an alley
-I was in a coma
-I healed quickly
-I have parallel scars on my back

Don't know:
-who my parents are
-what caused my scars
-where I lived
-why I was found in an alleyway
-how I healed so fast
-when I was born

I realized afterwards that I didn't know  Who what where when why and how. I remembered when Damen saw my scars and acted like he knew why my scars were there. But I also remembered how he lied and changed the subject. Something is off about Damen, there's probably a lot of things he's not telling me. Usually, I would respect someone's privacy, but when there's a chance they might know something about me, I need to investigate. The next time I have a conversation with Damen, I'm not going to let my questions slide. I'm going to make sure he tells me what I need to know.

I munched on my chips and and decided to draw to pass the time. I must have gotten  distracted because I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Oh no. Selene is home and I forgot to delete the history on her computer. When she opened the door though she didn't have her usual pissed off look. She just looked grim. Selene walked over to where I was sitting and put her hand towards me. In the palm of her hand was a little necklace.
"What is this?"
"What does it look like?"
"Well it's a necklace, but why are you giving it to me?"
"I saw what you were looking for online. You were wearing this when you were found. I wanted to sell it but it's not worth much. Thought it could help." I looked at her and slowly took the necklace from her hand. "Do you think this will help me find out who my parents are and where I'm from?"
"What do I look like, Wikipedia? Figure it out" she walked out of my room without another word. I looked at the necklace. It was beautiful. On the chain was a little locket. I opened it up and saw a picture. Of me!

I looked about 4. It was a close up of mostly my face but it looked like I was in a costume of some kind.  My young face looked so happy, I was grinning and my bright blue eyes sparkled. I looked like the happiest kid in the world. In the photo my skin was pale but I still looked adorable. My platinum blond hair was in a braid and it shimmered. The photo was still small but I was able to see almost every detail. I didn't realize I was crying until a teardrop fell on my hand I was holding the silver locket with. I would cherish this forever. I opened the clasp and put it on. I held onto the locket for a while, just wishing I was still as happy as I must have been in the photo.
