~Hana~

It was an awkward drive with just me and Derek. Like I would have rather had Damen or Raziel drive me, but I'm mad at them, so it's best to just stay away from both of them for a little while. We drove in silence.
"So where's your house?" Derek asked. I told him where I lived, even though I didn't want to, and he dropped me off.

I walked inside, to see a very angry Selene glaring at me. "What?"
"You have been gone for three days. When I found out your father was coming, I tried looking for you and couldn't find you. You dad would have blamed me if you were lost. I asked the school and apparently you haven't been attending classes the last few days. Not that I really care, but your father does. And you better get this place cleaned up before he arrives,"
Three days? No, I've only been gone one day. I think. "Okay,"
"And you need to get all the food for the thanksgiving dinner that you are going to make on Monday,"
"Okay,"
"Wear something nice. Your father needs to think I'm taking good care of you. And brush your hair."
"Okay," I repeated for like the third time. Can I just go to my room now?
"Your dad will be here at 5. So be ready by then,"
Today is Friday? I guess I was gone three days. "Well, I better go clean my room," I ran up to my room. I looked around at my peach coloured walls. Looking in my closet, I found a nice plain grey dress and put a jacket over it. There. I'm so tired, I'm just going to lie down on my bed for a little.

I must have dozed off for a bit because I woke up to someone shaking me. I peeked up to see Selene. "What are you doing? He will be here soon!"
What? When? I look at my clock and she's right. "Oh!"
I get out of bed to hear the doorbell. "He's early! Go get the door!"
I go downstairs and open the door. "Dad!"
"Hey, pumpkin." He gave me a bear hug. Letting go of me, he heads inside. "Your going to have to tell me what's been going on while I was away. How's school?"
"Good," we sat down on the couch. I usually tell him every detail of every event that happened while he was away. But I had to do a little lying this time.
I told him that I met Damen and we became friends, and his little sister was very nice, too, and he had a twin brother. I told him they lived in a huge house in the woods. I told him about Raziel, and that he doesn't go to my school, and I met him in the forest one day. I told him how I wasn't friends with Nancy anymore because she was jealous of Damen and me. And now Damen and Raziel hate each other.

"Well I see you have boy trouble," he smiled at me.
"Yeah,"
"I would like to meet these boys who seem to like my daughter,"
"Oh, I don't know,"
"Let's invite them to our thanks giving supper!"
Ugh. No. I don't want to invite them to our thanks giving dinner.
"Sounds great,"

the next day

I really need to talk to Damen and Raz. But separately this time. I decide to talk to Raz first.  How do I contact him? I don't have his cell-phone number. If I call Damen and ask to talk to Raziel, he will not be happy.  Oh well. I call him.
"Hey," he sounded happy I was calling. Probably is assuming I'm not mad anymore.
"I'm so sorry, Hana, and Raz is sorry too. After you left, we talked, and are now alliances. Do you forgive us?"
Oh my goodness, that was the best thing I've heard all day! Should I believe him, though? Well, he did say Raz instead of mystery. Alliances isn't friends, but I can take what I get.
"Yes! I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have yelled at you, and I was actually calling to ask if I could talk with you guys. Separately,"
"Okay, do you want me to come pick you up?"
"Okay,"

~Raziel~

I hear the door opening downstairs and footsteps. Is that Len's voice? I leave my room and go see. Is was! "hi, Raz! I heard you and Damen are alliances," Is that what Damen told her? Well, whatever he said worked. "Yep," I grinned at her.
"I have news, guys," Len looked over at both of us. "What is it?" Demon asked.
"My dad asked me to invite you guys to my thanksgiving supper,"
"Sounds fun," I said.
"Yeah," Damen agreed.
"Me too!" Damens sister came running down. What's her name again? Angelica. When angels fall, they have the option to change their names, and the only one with a normal name is Derek. Like why name yourself Demon or Angel? Oh well, none of my business.
"Oh! You can come too," Len told her.
"Good! We never celebrate holidays," Angelica said.
"Aw, that's sad,"
While they gossiped, I looked at Len, who was wearing leggings and a brown sweater with a white scarf. I wonder if she's wearing a tank top under her sweater or not.
Sometimes I think that Damen can read my mind because when I glance over at him he is glaring at me. But then again, if he can read my mind, he probably would have already killed me already because my daydreams about Len are the kind he would not like.
"Well, Angie, I'm going to spend some time alone with Raz and then Damen,"
Ooh alone time. "Your acting like the Bachelorette," Angie commented.
"What?" She asked.
"You never watch tv, do you?" Angie sighed and went upstairs. Damen followed her soon after.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" She asked me. I told her that was a good idea and we headed outside. On our walk, I tried holding her hand but Len put her hands in her pockets. Eventually we stopped and, knowing we were far enough from the house that Damen wouldn't see us, I pulled Len close to me and kissed her. I couldn't help it. Like I expected, she pushed away instead of kissing me back. I'm way stronger, so I didn't have to let go. But I let her push me away. "No one will know," I whispered to her.
"Stop, Raz, I said I wanted to talk, not make out."
"Sorry."
"Eventually they are going to notice we are gone, if they haven't already, and will be searching for us," she's talking about Heaven and her mom.
"We can go back whenever you want,"
"I know, but what about my dad? He expects me to spend most of the weekend with him, and I can't miss thanksgiving, and when we return, who knows when the next time we can come back will be, and...."
While Len talked, I was staring at her lips the whole time. She was wearing a lip balm that made her lips look a little pink. Or maybe she was just cold. If so, I could warm her up. However she would get mad if I tried kissing her again.
"Raz? Hello? My eyes are over here."
"What? Yeah,"
"Um, I asked you if we could stay in this realm until Monday."
"Oh, yeah, of course,"
"And, Raz, I need to say something to you,"
"Ok,"
"I am with Damen, Raz. That means you can not hold my hand, and can not kiss me. we are friends, Raz, that's it."
"But we are destined to be together,"
"just because we are angels doesn't mean we are destined to be together,"
"No, but we are matched."
"What?"
"When a girl angel is born, she is matched up to a boy angel similar to her age. Angels do have the ability love, but it's not part of their job to find a mate. It's done for them by the council. Angels don't have the free will that humans do,"
Len looked at me in shock.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" She sputtered.
"Well, I didn't want you to be with me just because you have to, I was hoping you would choose me on your own," I confessed.
"Well, unfortunately, I did not choose you. And I'm not going to be with you just because we're 'matched' "
"Well, Magdalena, we are destined to be together, and you will figure that out sooner or later."

~Damen~

Im walking with Hana to the forest. I keep wondering what her and Raziel talked about. Or if they talked. Hana stopped in a clearing and sat down. I sat next to her. "You look nice with that scarf on," I complimented.
"Thanks," she smiled. I love making her smile. It seems like such an accomplishment.
"I'm staying until Monday,"
"Then your going back to heaven?"
"Yeah, I have to," I knew it was true, I knew she would have to leave eventually, but it was still a punch in the gut knowing that I only had three more days with Hana before she's gone for who knows how long. I think She could tell that I was upset and she leaned her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her.
"It's not how much time we have, it's what we do in that time that matters ," I kissed the top of her head.
"And- not to ruin the moment or anything- but Raz told me something I think you should know,"
"What did he say?"
"That we are  matched. Matched is when-"
"I know what being matched means," I cut her off. I can't believe it. Raziel is her match? He's nothing like her.
"I told him that I choose you, though,"
I smiled. "I was hoping you would say that,"
She twisted her head to look at me. Her bright blue eyes looked beautiful.
She slowly moved her head towards mine and kissed me. I wrapped my wings around us and kissed her back.

"It's not how much time we have," I whispered.
"It's what we do with the time that matters," she whispered back.
