Chapter 14- Secrets

Hey everyone ! Back with a new chapter yay ^.^ So sorry for not updating earlier but I was in London for a holiday and to see one direction ! <3 sorry I love them hahah.

Anyway enough about that ! Let's move onto this chapter XD

~Lucy POV~

I couldn't believe what had just happened. I still felt flustered as memories of the kiss which had just occurred seconds ago rushed through my head.

"Lucy, that was a mistake. It shouldn't have happened." He said avoiding eye contact with me as he began to walk away.

"But Natsu, I heard you. You said you loved me." I said feeling hurt by what he had just said. It's as if I was in heaven and now I'm back in hell.

"Yes, I love you and that is exactly why we can't do this." He sighed finally facing me. I could see in his eyes that he himself was hurt and confused.

"What's holding you back Natsu ?" I said keeping my gaze on him.

"More like who is holding me back." I raised my eyebrow at him in confusion and waited for him to give me more information on this person.

"Is it Sting ?" I asked beginning to get impatient. I needed to know who was on the other end of the phone.

"Yes, well, kind of. He's part of the problem but the person is Flare. Lucy she will hurt you. The last thing in the world I want to see is you getting hurt." He gave me a sympathetic look and a soft smile. My heart was racing at what felt like a million miles an hour.

"Natsu, right now what's hurting more is you pushing me back. Everytime I thought something could be between us you've always shut me out....please Natsu don't shut me out again.." I felt my voice start to crack. "I love you." I croaked.

He froze for a moment and seemed to be mentally debating with himself. Just as I thought he'd reject me or lie to me again he cupped my face gently with his warm soft hands.

"Lucy, are you sure you want to be with me ?" He asked staring intensely into my eyes.

"Yes I-" I barely had time to finish my sentence as I was cut off by his lips smashing on mines. Second kiss tonight, I could get used to this.

"I love you." He said as we pulled apart.

It was 12am and I started to get tired. I was cuddled up next to Natsu watching a horror film.

"Tired ?" He asked as I started to shift around.

"Yeah I think I'll get going to bed. Night." I yawned. I got up when I felt his hand grab mine.

"Go sleep in my room it's warmer, I'll be up in a second." He said. I smiled at him in return. I was about to walk away when my hand was pulled back once more.

"Aren't you forgetting something ?" He asked as I looked around confused. What am I forgetting ?

I looked back at him with a questioning look. "This you numpty." He said planting a kiss on my lips. I felt his lips curve into a smile as he kissed me.

"Night." I said once more before heading off to bed. Today was the best day of my life. I couldn't stop smiling to myself as I got into bed and inhaled Natsu's minty scent and began drifting off to dream world. I was finally happy.

~Natsu POV~

My phone buzzed in my pocket making me jump. I slowly reached into my pocket and swiped the phone to unlock it. I rolled my eyes immediately as I saw who it was that messaged me.

Flare. Again.

-Flare-
I see you're finally together ! Congratulations ! Have you vowed to stay with her until death pulls you two apart ? If you haven't you should because soon your 'girlfriend' will be 5 feet under ground surrounded by worms.

That is unless you break up and go with me instead ^.^

Wow ! 10/10 for imagination ! I'd like to see you try even getting close to Lucy. You dare take one step near this house and I'll make sure they'll be your last ones. You play with fire and you get burnt.
Don't make me kill you.

Shortly after I got another reply.

-Flare-

Awww how sweet ! Am I your flame that lights up your heart ! Thankyou Natsu <3
I take it you haven't told the girl about what really happened to her parents a few years ago ?...

My smirk disappeared after I read the recent text.

- To Flare -

Don't you dare bring that up.

"Natsu~ can you please bring me a glass of water" Shouted Lucy from the bedroom. I shoved my phone in my pocket and filled up a glass of water for Lucy.

I couldn't stop thinking about the text. If she tells Lucy then Lucy will never forgive me. That night was a mistake I never meant to-

"Natsu are you lost ?" Said Lucy again from the top of the stairs. Geez, impatient much ?

I quickly walked upstairs and handed her the glass of water which she gladly took.

"What took you so long ?" She asked after gulping down the water faster than I've ever seen anyone gulp water down before. She must've been very thirsty.

"Nothing." I said trying to mask my emotions. I can't let her know. She can't know.

"Okay....then why do you look so uneasy ?"

"Nothing um..." Quick Natsu think of an excuse. "There was a cat at giving birth in the garden. Um yeah it was disturbing." I said. I mentally slapped myself for the stupid excuse.

"Okay ?..." She said raising her eyebrow. I decided to hop into bed next to her and go to sleep. That's if I could manage to go to sleep. I watched Lucy snuggle into my chest. If she knew what I'd done she'd never speak to me again. It's only a matter of time until Flare tells her. I need to stop her.

I'll have to make a deal with Flare, aka a deal with the devil.

Hey everyone ! I wonder what Natsu has done.... It will be revealed soon don't worry :) next story to be updated later tonight is Fairy Tail High ! XD I have a biology nab so during my revision breaks I'm typing the story haha ^.^
