Chapter 35 - Grandine & Wendy

"We're losing him ! Hurry up get the defibrillators !" Shouted Mira at her staff as they frantically tried to revive the half dead, half alive pinkette.

He lay there cold, in the hospital bed, surrounded by people in a blue uniform trying to save his life.

His girlfriend sat outside, her head in her hands as her boyfriend fought for his life in the room behind her. She could only manage to blame herself for everything that had happened. If she wouldn't of had left him in the first place he wouldn't of had been in this mess.

The tears rolling down her face, increased as she thought she may never be able to see the pinkette, kiss or him or hear his voice.
"Give me back my Natsu..." She cried to herself. "Please..."

Sadly to her dismay, a loud flat beep was heard in the room, silencing everyone. "We've lost him." Said Mira hanging her head low. "I'll go tell Lucy."

~Natsu POV~

I woke up in what looked like a meadow. There were flowers, trees and birds flying around the sky. The place portrayed peace.

I stood up slowly as I took in the scenery around me. I breathed in the fresh air, for a moment forgetting what had happened to me.

I brought my hands to where my wounds previously were, to only realise they were gone. I felt my jaw drop. Am I dead ?! I immediately panicked and began running around screaming "Lucy !" I needed to see her. I needed to be with her.

I heard a soft giggle coming from behind me. I turned round but only saw a tail of blue hair. I felt a tap on my shoulder followed by another giggle when I turned round and saw no one stand there.

"Stop being such a fucking child and come out." I snapped to whoever was trying to play pranks on me. It was then a blue haired girl stepped from behind me and stood in front of me. We were now facing eachother. Her dark brown eyes were staring into my onyx ones.

"Do you remember me ?" She said giving me a soft smile and grabbing my hand. "I'm your sister. Wendy !" She exclaimed.

"W-Wendy ?!" I shouted dropping onto my knees. "Is it really you ?!" I replied incredulous.

She laughed before giving me a tight hug which I gladly returned. I couldn't help but let a few tears escape. I missed my little sister so much.

"You've been a bad boy Natsu." She said slapping me on the head lightly.

"I know...I'm sorry, I really am Wendy." I said guiltily. "Where's mum ?" If Wendy is here too then that means my mother has to be here as well.

"She's waiting for you at the house." she said holding onto my hand and gently pulling it, urging for me to follow her. The house ?? Where am I ?

I followed Wendy as she giggled while we ran through the tall green grass. I felt a smile on my face as I watched her, bringing back memories from when we were small. The memories I missed and that caused me all my misery.

"So Natsu, who's the blonde girl you're always with." She slowed down her pace so that she was next to me and began wriggling her eyebrows.

I immediately blush at the unexpected question. "She's my girlfriend." I said turning away. Wendy immediately began cooing and teasing as I playfully shoved her.

We arrived at a small house and I felt my eyes popping out my sockets when I saw it. This was the exact same as the house we used to have before my dad got rich.

"Stop staring and come in." Said Wendy pushing me through the door. I looked around the house once I was inside. It was exactly the same as the old one. We started to use the house as a holiday house as we didn't want to give it away. Except last time I saw the house...was...the night we were all supposed to die.

"Wendy where were yo-" the woman with blue hair dropped the dish she was drying as her eyes began to well up. "Oh my-Natsu is it really you ?!" She said wrapping me in a warm hug. I missed this feeling.

"Yes mum, it's really me." I say hugging her back, beginning to cry myself.

"Oh no...if you're hear then that means you're dead- oh my Natsu ! Did your father manage to kill you ?!" She said looking me up and down and searching for wounds.

"No ? I thought dad was dead too ?" I said as confusion hit me. Why would my dad want to kill me ?

"You don't know ?" She asked looking into my eyes.

"Know what ?" I reply still confused.

"That we were never killed in a car accident, your father killed us Natsu." I felt my heart drop down to my chest. I looked over at Wendy and my mum over and over again. How could my father kill them ? He loved my mum and Wendy was his favourite ! He'd always bring her back gifts from business trips.

"It can't be true mum....he loved us both ! He can't have killed you, he can't ! I don't believe you !" I shouted in disbelief.

"Natsu, listen to me. Your father killed us and he then told the papers we died in a car accident. Natsu your father payed the news paper agency to publish a fake story about a car accident. Natsu, have you ever wondered why our bodies were never found ? Why we didn't have a funeral ? Why your dad didn't mention us to you ?" She said.

"No mum, I haven't because since you and Wendy died...dad left me too."

"Well, there's an answer to one of your questions. You were meant to die that day too, Natsu." I snapped my head towards her. I was meant to die ?!

"And that's why your father is still trying to finish what he started. Your father wants to see you dead."

"What do you mean he wants to see me dead ?!" I say panting.

"Natsu, your father...wants to kill you." I immediately felt my knees go weak. I dropped to the floor staring into a corner of the room, with wide eyes.

My own father whom I thought was dead wants to kill me.

My father who's seen me grow up.

My father who taught me how to speak and write.

My father who taught me how to play football.

My father who taught me how to drive.

My father....wants me dead.

So, Natsu finally met up with Grandine and Wendy...and he's just had this big news spilled on him.

In the next chapter, we'll see exactly what happened to everyone. Grandine and Wendy take Natsu back in time to witness the scene.

PLEASE DONT STOP READING BECAUSE YOU THINK NATSU IS DEAD, he isn't dead :) I'll bring him back in an interesting way ;)

And sorry for the boring chapter it's a build up to the next one which will be really dramatic...
