Chapter 23 - I-Igneel ?!

~Lucy POV~

Erza's house wasn't very big which is a good thing as I could find my way around it easier and it was very neat and tidy. There was not a single thing out of place which really amazed me.

"Wow..." I mutter subconsciously.

"Yeah, I guess you can kind of tell I have OCD and am a bit clean freak....But I hope you feel comfortable here. I'll show you to your room." She smiled while leading the way.

I stifled a laugh before following Erza to the guest room. I guess it will be a bit of a change from Natsu's house...Natsu. My heart dropped at the thought of him. It felt like it was getting pulled out of my chest.

"-cy, Lucy, Lucy !" Shouted Erza noticing I spaced out. "Is everything alright ? Do you not like your room ?" I hadn't even realised that we'd got to 'my room'.

"Yeah, it's perfect thankyou. Sorry I'm just a bit tired that's all." I said half smiling.

"Well, that's understandable. There's an ensuite bathroom so if you can use it anytime. I'll be back in two seconds to get you a nice fresh set of pyjamas and some clothes you can wear." She smiled. I was very lucky to have met Erza, I probably would've frozen to death by now.

I thanked her again before she disappeared to collect some clothes for me. I began to snoop around the room I would be staying in for most likely a long time. I walked towards the dresser and stared at the photo placed on top of it. It was Erza when she was little with a little blue haired boy next to her. I giggled a bit at their funny facial expressions they were pulling in front of the camera.

"I see you find that photo amusing eh ?" She laughed as she popped a pile of clothes onto the bed.

"Who's the blue haired boy next to you ? If you don't mind me asking of course." I asked curiously.

"Oh that's my fiancé, Jellal. I love him more than life itself. You'll probably see a lot of him around as he likes to crash here a lot." I couldn't help but envy her relationship a little.

"Thanks again Erza ! I think I'll be going to sleep now as I'm really tired. Night !"

"Goodnight Lucy, if you need me I'm just next door." She said pulling the door shut behind her.

I stripped out of my damp, cold clothes and slipped on a pyjama. I tidied away the rest of the clothes into the drawers and some into the wardrobe and crawled into bed.

I kept tossing and turning, my mind still fixed on Natsu. I felt empty on the inside, as if a part of me was missing.

'He killed your parents...'

I doubt Natsu would kill anyone, as bad as he is. But I couldn't help but think that this could be true. No matter how much Natsu hurt me, my heart always longs for him.

I walked over to where his hoodie was lying and snuggled up to it, not caring that it was damp. I could still smell a faint trace of his scent on the hoodie and clung onto it as if I was clinging onto life.

I imagined that he was laying beside me, as a tear rolled down my cheek longing for my imagination to become reality as I was engulfed by darkness.

~Natsu POV~

I woke up and stretched my arms out. I looked into the mirror and almost scared myself upon seeing my reflection. I had dark circles underneath my eyes due to the lack of sleep I've been recently.

It reminded me of my old self. I was beginning to turn into the monster I previously was.

I haven't been spending an awful lot of time with my friends either and I feel myself becoming more and more distant from not only them but the world itself.

I have given up on searching for Lucy, upon realising that she doesn't want to be found. I tried the day after she was gone to find her and the day after that too but I've given up. I guess I'll just have to carry on living without her.

Since Lucy left, my house has become like a dumpster. There were pizza boxes everywhere along with empty cans. I guess you can say heartbreak's are horrible.

"Natsu !" I heard someone shout. I shot my head towards the door and noticed that it was Juvia.

"What are you doing here ?" I snapped coldly.

"I'm here to help you Natsu, you need it." She said calmly.

"I don't need your help, or anyone's. Leave me alone." I said pouring milk in a bowl along with some cereal.

"You're a mess Natsu. Just let me help you for goodness sake !"

"No. I said I don't need help !" I barked furiously.

"You know what ? I don't blame Lucy for leaving you ! You're such a horrible person."

"What did you just say ?" I glared at her fiercely causing her to gulp.

"I said that Lucy-"

"Don't ever say that name again !" I said pushing the bowl of milk and cereal onto the floor causing it to smash. I stormed out the door as tears brimmed my eyes leaving a dumfounded Juvia in the kitchen.

I needed to get out this house, I'm going mad in here. Every corner is screaming Lucy, every bit of me is screaming help me....

~Sting POV~

"Why the hell did you let the girl get away !" I slammed my fist into the table as the red haired girl cowered into the corner.

"S-sorry ! It all happened so fast but we can still find her !"

"You don't understand ! My step father wants Natsu dead and that pink headed idiot is too strong. We were supposed to use Lucy as a bait to lure him here you stupid thick bitch !"

"Did you forget that that plan failed last time ?!" She pointed out.

I hated to admit this but she was right. We stood there in silence before my phone broke through it.

"Damn ! It's him..." I cursed. "What do I tell him now ?! He'll kill us !" I gulped quickly answering the phone.

"H-hello..." I croaked.

"Son, well, step-son, did you manage to kill your step brother ?"

"No, dad. Sorry." I felt a whip of cold air travel up my spine making the hairs on my skin stand up.

"What ?! I told you that I want him dead ! Dead ! I'm going to give you one month to kill him before you'll be joining his mother and sister down in the ground. Do you hear me Sting ?!"

"Yes Igneel. I hear you. I promise I will kill him by the end of this month." I said balling my fists.

"Come on Flare, we have a plan to come up with." I said shoving the phone into my pocket.

Natsu Dragneel, your time here is limited. By the end of this month, you'll be wiped out from planet earth.
