Chapter 37 - Waking Up & Perverted Nurse ?!

~Lucy POV~

As soon as the nurse told me Natsu was alive I felt as if my blood circulation kicked back in. My pale face was now beginning to regain colour as I began to return back to reality.

"B-but how..?! C-can I see him now. Please.." I ask the Nurse in desperation. I still couldn't believe that Natsu was alive. Minutes ago they'd pronounced him officially dead and now he's back.

"Yes, you may. Be careful though as he's still slightly confused and sleepy." She warned me while escorting me to his room. Once we arrived at his hospital door she slowly opened it, trying not to wake the sleeping Natsu up.

"He's asleep right now, so be very quiet." She said closing the door, quietly behind me. It was now just me and Natsu left in the room. I slowly walked over to him and sat on the edge of his bed next to him.

I gently grabbed his hand, caressing it tenderly. His natural tanned skin tone was replaced by a deadly lifeless colour. If i wasn't feeling the pulse on his wrist, and didn't see his slow breaths, I'd think he was dead. His hands weren't cold, but they weren't warm either. I leaned over to him and placed a small kiss on his slightly pink cheeks.

My phone suddenly buzzed into my pocket, indicating someone was calling me. I rolled my eyes as I extracted the phone from my jeans pocket. Erza.

Not wanting to disturb Natsu I made my way outside to take the phone call.

"Lucy ! Where the hell have you been ?!" She shouted from the other side of the phone. I gulped in fear upon hearing her angered voice.

"I'm at Juvia's for a sleepover." I lied, attempting to sound convincing.

"Ok. Well I wanted to let you know that me and Jellal are going on a short vacation before our wedding. You're coming right ?" She asked, although it sounded more like a command.

"Maybe." I piped out. Don't get me wrong, I love Erza but I think the wedding would be for family and friends, not a random girl she welcomed in her home.

"You better." She boomed.

"Wait Erza I-". The line fell silent signalising that she'd hung up. I let out a long sigh as I quietly let myself into Natsu's room again.

I took my place back next to him and began staring at his face. I wish he'd wake up. I miss the sound of his voice.

"Oh Natsu, you're lucky I love you. If you were someone else I'd've dumped you right now. I've lost count of the times I thought I'd never see you again. That's my worst nightmare and you better not make that happen because I love you more than anything else in the world and I hope that one day you'll leave this bad road behind and start a new one with me by your side. I'd love to start a family with you one day and have the perfect wedding day. Basically I just want you in my life forever. I love you Natsu Dragneel." I say taking his hand again.

I suddenly felt a squeeze followed by an "I love you too Lucy Heartfilia." My head snapped from our hands to Natsu's face. I felt tears begin to brim my eye.

"Natsu !" I shouted wrapping my arms around him. "I thought I'd lost you forever." I sobbed into his shoulder.

"Luce, if you don't let go I think you might...kind of choking." He breathed out wincing. I immediately pull away and give him an apologetic look.

"Nice speech." He replied in a teasing tone. Well I guess you could say Natsu's definitely back.

"Oi..y-you weren't meant to hear that." My cheeks immediately flush red.

"Well, I'm glad I did. You're right. I'm leaving this bad road for good Luce." He says with a serious look in his eyes. I guess this is the end of my fear of losing Natsu then, knowing he'll be away from dangerous people.

"I'm glad." I say planting a soft kiss on his lips. I was just about to pull away when be gently cupped my face.

"Who said you had to stop ?" Smirked Natsu causing my already red cheeks to turn even redder. "I'm not made of glass you know."

I chuckled before leaning in to the kiss again. Natsu's tongue skimmed my bottom lip, asking permission to enter. The kiss began to turn into a makeup session as my hands travelled to his pink, soft locks.

"Eurgh not in here kids ! Please have some decency..." Said the nurse in disgust while plopping Natsu's clothes into the chair.

"It was just a kiss you know..." Said Natsu in defence, clearly not half as humiliated as I was.

"Yeah sure, a kiss. That was called eating each other's faces off young man." She tutted while Natsu rolled his eyes.

"Could've been worst, I mean we could've been-"

"Natsu !" I shout as I felt my face burning off with embarrassment.

"Ok, I guess I'll see you both soon in the birth department of the hospital." She laughed as Natsu joined her. I wuickly hide my face in my hands in desperation for this conversation to end.

"Nurse, when can I go home ?" Natsu asks once he stops laughing.

"Tomorrow. Although whoever is looking after you is going to have a whole lot of medications to give you. You also mustn't walk around too much and wear your crutches. Most importantly you mustn't have-"

"Ok we get it !" I shout interrupting the nurse mid sentence.

"I was going to say spicy food....but now that you bring that to my attention, you're right. Not until his wounds have healed enough for him to be able to walk around." Why is she torturing me like this. "I'll see you tomorrow folks, oh and remember the hospital has thin walls." She winks at me before shutting the door behind her.

Natsu begins howling with laughter as I'm left to my own embarrassment. Once he's calmed down I gently snuggle up to him making sure I'm not hurting him and place my head next to his chest.

"Night Luce." He says kissing me on my head.

"Night Natsu." I say nuzzling into his chest.

"Night you two." Said the perverted nurse popping her head through the door. I let out a frustrated scream in Natsu's chest. Damn you perverted nurse !

I begin to feel my eyelids go heavy and close them, allowing me to escape to dream land where there are no perverted nurses. Before going off to dream land I thank whoever helped Natsu for helping him come back to me.

My life without him would be incomplete like a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces.

Hey everyone ! First chapter of 2016 woooooo !! Sorry it wasn't so good I've just been a bit upset lately. I hope that the next chapter will be better though ;) Natsu finally gets to go home but will he stick to the good path ? What will stings reaction be when he discovers Natsu isn't dead ? Will he find
