I wake up with my hands around Chloe's bare frame. The events of the previous night come flooding back and I find myself grinning like a fool. I take a deep breath, and shortly after I realize I forgot to blow out all the candles from the night before. I slowly get out of bed and put my sweats back on and walk outside to find that everything is okay and the wind must have blown them out overnight. I sigh, relieved, and walk back inside the tent to see Chloe sitting up and looking around. Her hair is a total mess and she's got the covers pulled up to her so that she's modest. Her bright blue eyes are looking around, and I can see the leftover makeup from last night. She looks so beautiful, and I run up to her and kiss her before she can react.
"Dan! Good morning!" she claims as I pull away.
"Good morning my beauty. How did you sleep?" I smirk into the question.
"Really good, the sound of the water put me right to sleep. I'm a little sore though," she says, looking down. I frown and sit back a bit on the bed.
"I didn't hurt you too bad, did I?" I ask, worried that I went too far.
"No Dan it's normal to be sore, I'm pretty sure." She smiles at me and I feel a little bit better, but make it my priority today to pamper her.
"Want to go back to my flat?" I ask, standing up to put my shirt on.
"Sure. Want me to help you clean this up?" She reaches for a shirt and realizes her stuff is still in the car. I run and grab it for her and come back to see her hair pulled up into a ponytail, and her facing the other way with a blanket around her. I walk up behind her and kiss her neck, drawing circles on her arms with my fingers.
"I've got it love, just go ahead and sit in the car and get it all warmed up alright?" I tell her, handing her her clothes.
I walk back out and retrieve the box and laundry basket from my trunk. Gathering all the candles and eggs, I put those in the box. I retrieve everything from the tent and put all the blankets and pillows in the laundry basket while putting the tent in the box.
Chloe is sitting in the car patiently, in her sweats and a loose T-shirt, with a muffled Bring Me The Horizon playing through the speakers. It's one of their slower songs, Sleepwalking and I hum along to it.
I get in the car and Chloe turns it down so we can talk. I roll down the windows and we drive back to the flat.
At the flat, Chloe sits down while I unload the car. When I come back in the last time, Chloe is hunched over in her seat on the couch, and holding her stomach. I take a closer look at her face and notice she is grimacing.
"Chloe, babe what's wrong? What happened?""I don't know, but it hurts, my back hurts and my stomach hurts, it's like a sharp bursting pain though." She winces once again and sits up. "Something hurts real bad Dan, I can't hardly breathe I don't know what's wrong," she trails off.
"Chloe I'm calling A&E right now and I'm taking you, it's something that you've never felt before right?"
"No but it hurts so bad, it's like a more intense version of cramps only in my back," she grunts in pain. I start to panic a little bit but I manage to get my point through on the phone. They tell me to go ahead and bring her in. I carry her to the car and drive as fast as the streets will let me to the emergency room.
