I'm kind of excited, yet nervous for tonight. Jackson has been ignoring me, and I'm afraid he's going to stand me up. I wake up stiff and sore and reach for my crutches. So...far...away...
"Need some help?" Dan walks over.
"Please?" He hands me my crutches and helps me up.
They gave me a chair thing for my shower so I can sit and bathe by myself, thank goodness. I take a quick shower and manage to get dressed, do my hair and brush my teeth all by myself. Yay me!
"What do you want for breakfast?" Dan asks as I sit down at the table.
"Hmm, muffins!" He chuckles and grabs me a muffin.
"What else now?"
"Can I have some pancakes? And coffee?"
"Anything for you," he says before planting a sweet kiss to my lips. We decide to have a lazy day and watch a marathon of Disney movies until 4:3O. At 5:OO I get ready to go meet Jack.
"I'll stay in the car, yeah?
"Okay."
"Think you can make it in there okay without me?" Dan asks protectively.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," I say, opening the door.
"Okay. Watch out for the curb," he says as I fumble out.
Once inside and safely sat down, Jenna comes over and we catch up. She sneaks me a mini muffin before going back to work.
I look out the window to see two smaller figures standing on the curb, talking. One's wearing a white hoodie and grey skinny jeans. The other one is wearing a black tee, and regular jeans. The one in the grey starts walking toward the shop and I recognize the shaggy blonde hair.
He sits across from me, and pushes his bangs out of his beautiful grey eyes.
"You've got some explaining to do," he says, his voice cracking.
