Chapter 27, Chloe

     I wake up and immediately a smell hits my nose. A good, familiar smell. My eyes open and take a deep breath. I look down, Dan!
     He's underneath me, sleeping soundlessly. I sit as still as I can, weighing out my options. If I get up, I would wake him, and I don't want to do that. I could reach for my phone, but I'd have to be really careful.
     I go for the phone and succeed. 8:29am. I set it down, and relax.
     I'm almost asleep when I realize something- It's Monday! I have school! Shit!
I get up as quickly and gracefully as possible, but still wake Dan up.
  "Is everything alright?"
  "It's Monday and I have school! I need to go change, I'll be right back."
  "Okay, do you need to borrow my straightener?" I nod and run into the bathroom to change.
     You know what, I don't think I should go to school until I get settled. 
  "Dan?" I ask, stepping out of the bathroom.
  "Hm?"
  "I don't think I want to go to school until I'm in the new apartment and have a better routine."
  "Okay, so do you want to look for furniture and stuff?"
  "Kay." Showered, dressed, and ready to go, we set out to find some things for my new house.
     We decide to take my car, but I let Dan drive.

I don't even see it coming. I'm just talking away, Dan's laughing, then all the sudden, pain. And a whole lot of it. Then darkness. Black, empty darkness.
