(II) Can I Fall for You?

Kailyn's POV

When I get upstairs and open the door, everyone stares at me. I look around and feel like Im being watched. I shake the feeling and tell them I have to go soon. I grab a slice of pizza, put it on a plate, and go sit next to Kellin. He smiles and go gets a slice himself. We start talking about what a coincidence it is that Logan is his brother. I check the time and it's 5:30.

Oh shit, I'm going to be late for work.

I quickly put on my uniform. I come back out and devour a whole other 2 slices of pizza since I was going to be working until 10:00pm. I had to be there by 6pm and it was 5:45. I have to get going. I grab my over sized sweater and said bye to everyone, then shut the door.

Kellin's POV

As soon as she left I looked out the window. I realized she's going to walk there. I stand up quickly and say goodbye to them. I catch up with her and put my hand on her shoulder. She turns around, suprised and sees that its only me.

"I have a car. I could give you a ride," I say.

"UHH... I don't know. I don't wanna take up your time," she said sincerely.

"C'mon, it's on the way to my apartment," I said, hoping she would believe me.

"Oh okay," she said brightly.

When we walked to my car I opened the door mimicking a gentleman. I closed the door and got on the drivers side. I turned up the music it was one of my favorite songs.

Kailyn's POV

He started the car and started driving. He asked me if I needed a ride back home. I quickly replied, "Oh you don't have to do that, I can walk."

He smiled and told me he can pick me up. I blushed and said, "Thank you."

We got to my job and he stopped the car in front of the door. He looked at me and told me he would be back here at 10:00pm. I smiled and said thanks.

His amazing blue eyes were staring at me. I wanted to stay and stare at them.

Kellin's POV

When we got there I just wanted to drop her off but she turned around and caught me staring at her. We just sat there staring at each others eyes. I leaned in and said with a smile, "Aren't you going to be late?"

She blushed, shut the door, and said thank you one more time before rushing in the door. And with that, she was gone until 10 o'clock. I wanted her to come back out.

I also wanted her to need me. I wanted her. I breathed in and sighed heavily. The car still smelled like her lilacs and strawberries. I cant wait untill I pick her up from work. I blushed to myself thinking about it.

Damn, its 9:30. I should go and wait for her to come out. I get to my car and drive to pick her up. When I get there its 9:45. I sit and listen to music. 12 minutes later she came out looking hungry and tired. Yeah definitely a good idea to give her a ride. She saw me and opened the door. She said, "Oh my gosh that took forever. Thank you so much for picking me up, I would've collapsed on the ground if I walked."

I smiled and told her that it's okay and I would give her a ride any time. We started driving away. I turned up the music and started lip syncing. Before I knew it I was singing. When the song finished I turned to Kailyn and saw her staring at me with passion. I turned away and kept driving.

Kailyn's POV

He was actually singing and he sounded AMAZING. He hit every note, and his voice was so beautiful. It made me melt inside.

But... I just got out of a hard relationship, and I dont think I could trust anyone ever again. We approached my apartment (well me and Sam's). I was about to say goodbye when he looked at me in the eyes.

I stared at the beauteous green eyes. He parted his perfect lips, about to speak, then didn't. He leaned forward and I was about to yell "NO!" Then he just opened my door and said, "Good night, " with a smile. I was about to leave then he told me to wait. I turned around and he lunged towards me.

Kellin's POV

I went for it. I needed to taste her lips. I kissed her.

Slowly we parted. I was shocked at myself. I maybe just ruined my chance to be her friend. She was the only friend I had and now it may be gone.

Kailyn's POV

I was stunned and I let it happen. His lips were as soft and warm as I had thought. Ideas and thoughts were spinning around in my head, but this moment felt right.

He pulled away and looked down.

I was sad he stopped, but relieved at the same time. I turned away, closed the door and left.

Kellin's POV

When she left I felt my heart crack a little. What the actual fuck was I thinking? I watched her go into her apartment fazed. I started banging my head against the steering wheel. FUCK, FUCK, FUCK! Why did I do this to myself all the time? I screw everything up! Hopefully it won't be awkward tomorrow.

Kailyn's POV

Was it bad that I liked it? That I acually didn't want to leave? That I wanted to stay and kiss him more?

I don't know what to do anymore, but damn that was a good kiss. I unlocked the door and stepped in they were at it again. I couldn't even stay in the living room. They were so loud. Shut the fuck up! Jesus.... I went in my room; it was a little less loud in there. I jumped on my bed, put the pillow around my ears and fell asleep.

I woke up late. I jumped out of bed and shot straight into the shower. When I got out 10 minutes later, I quickly threw on a band t-shirt and some regular skinnys. I ran to school. I was really about to be late on the second day of school. I realized when I got there I have to talk to Kellin.

I tripped and fell onto the cement. I felt sharp pain in my skull, knee cap and my arm. It hurt like fucking hell. I blacked out 2 blocks from school.

Kellin's POV

I was driving listening to music. I looked to the side on the ground and saw someone. I stopped the car immediately and got out.

It couldn't be. KAILYN?!
