(XXXVII) Trips, Fun times, and The Cold Truth

Kailyn's POV

As I can see Emily has chosen to give Derek a chance and take him on vacation with us. Luckily for me this gives me a chance to be the overprotective sister I've always wanted to be, I also get to get to know him more. I still don't quite trust him but who am I to judge I don't know him... yet.

We were in the car waiting for Derek to get back. He was last minute packing which is always a hard thing to do because you can forget the most important things. Emily went with him to make sure.

About 15 minutes later Emily and Derek emerged from his house with a suitcase. Emily entered the car while he went and put his suitcase in the trunk.

"He packs so fricken slow." Emily said right before Derek entered the car. I laughed really hard and Derek looked at me. "Are you okay?" I just shook my head and turned the right way again. He probably thinks I'm really weird now but that's okay.

We stopped at our house and picked up the 5 pre-packed suitcases;
mine, Kellin's, Sam's, Jesse's, and Emily's. We were quickly back on the road to a place that is unknown at the moment.

"Kellinnnn where are we going?" I pleaded as we entered the highway. "No no that's a surprise" He kept saying. "Can you at least tell me how far it is?" I questioned once more hoping he would give in. However he didn't give in he just laughed and shook his head "You shall see when we get there."

"Ugh fine" I smiled at him. This was going to be a long but fun trip.
I turned around to face the Fournier the back.

"So you guys wanna play some car games?!" I asked excitedly. This is the first time in awhile I'm not thinking about what happened and Im actually happy. Derek laughed and shrugged his shoulders "Sure?"

" yes yes yes yes!" This is what I really love,
friends and basically family all surrounding me.

"Ok so what are we gonna play?" Sam asked curiously. I pondered my mind truth or dare? Naw because there isn't a lot of options. Eye spy? Nope because there's only grass, trees, and occasional road signs. I was having a blank moment right now and I can't think if any games. "Sam why don't you pick?" I challenged. She smirked back at me. "How bout we play... Never have I ever"

I cheerily smiled at her in response and nodded my head. I looked at Derek and slightly laughed "How bout Derek goes first"

Emily rolled her eyes "C'mon guys he's been here 10 minutes and you already said "That you were going to murder him in his sleep" Kellin interrupted her "Nono I said I wasn't going to."
She rolled her eyes again "I'll go first thank you."
"Fine be my guest" Kellin laughed.

"Never have I ever..." Emily started "Kissed a hamburger".

"Dammit" I yelled "It was one time I was really hungry and happy that I had food and just it happened ok."

This rewarded me with chants of "KAILYN AND CHESSYBURGER SITTING IN A TREE,
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!"

"Ok ok guys" I said still laughing "It's Jesse's turn"

"Umm" he said as he tapped his chin gently. "Never have I ever kissed Jesse." Everyone except Sam laughed, instead she gave him a glare that he knew he would have to pay for it later. Its nice that those two are like how they used to be.

"Okok I see how it is HUN" She said slightly laughing. "Never have a ever been in a band." You heard mutters from Jesse along with the shaking of the head by Kellin driving while one finger went down. Again we all laughed.

Kellin cleared his throat "Never have I ever attempted a cartwheel and failed miserably" I sighed as I put a finger down with Sam and surprisingly Derek as well.
