"I find that man weird," Alisha said, her eyes not leaving the screen of my Kindle. I guess she finally found 'The Book'. I can't believe how she could still think about the old man like that. He is the coolest old man I have ever met. I roll my eyes at her stupid comments now and then focus on my phone screen.

Kanish- ya still there?
Me- yep.. sorry for the late reply.
Kanish- that's not a problem until you're on the other end typing..
Me- are you trying to flirt?
Kanish- I think our chemistry is already reaching its peak because I'm really trying to flirt but I can't.. its all true!

He always does this. How can he be so charming that I can't even make out if he is actually trying to impress me or he just wants another fling. It's weird how two people can get so engrossed in just talking to each other. I just need to hear a beep to run through all the mess to find my phone and check if it is him. It's always exciting to have a conversation with him. He is so funny and amazing. And I have spotted a sensitive part in him as well. He is a nice guy with a little attitude problem and the perfect ability to annoy the hell out of others. But I kind of like it. I guess I wouldn't like him without those flaws. It makes him who he is. When he comes up with such cheesy one liners, he makes it hard for me to reply. I don't want him to get any wrong idea of my words. So I just go with a 'hmmm' or an 'okay' or sometimes (actually, most of the times) 'awe, thats so sweet!'. So right now I'm gonna go with it.

Me- awe, thats so sweet! but i dont like chemistry.
Kanish- that's perfectly fine. it can be any subject as long as you're there with me..

Grand.. here we go again. He has been trying to woo me since like 2-3 days. It's like he is literally hitting on me while not even trying to hide it. I like it but its annoying! And that's why I like it more. I want him to stop it but if I tell him so, then he will stop it, and then I will miss it. This shit is so confusing. I'd rather go for Malaria than Loveria. I wanna ask him, what is he trying to do over here but he could be kidding as well. Like, if I go all serious about it and approach him with this question, then he might even shoo me off saying that he was joking and maybe he talks the same way with other girls. Would he talk the same way with other girls? I hope not.
In the meantime I see Vicky, wearing a pair of pajamas and a tee, walking through the living area with a towel wrapping her hair like a heroine. "You need to take a bath. The water is so warm, it just soothes every muscle of yours!"
"I will take it in a while! Why don't we go out and get something to eat? The canteen will be open in 5 minutes," I asked. I don't feel that hungry but I would like to waste time so that I don't have to say 'bye' to Kanish.
"And where is Myra? She should be back here by now.. It's going to be two hours now and she hasn't even called once," Vicky says.
"She is out there in her territory.. She is definitely not coming here anytime soon," Alisha replied without even looking up.
"What if she is in any sort of trouble," Vicky said. What rubbish! Myra wouldn't be in trouble. Would she? Well, I remember reading something....
"I was going through the webpage of this place when we got here. It said that roaming outside before sun rise and after sunset is totally on our call and they wont be responsible for any mishap. All that they meant was that we shouldn't roam around until and unless there is enough of sunlight let alone roam in the woods alone in dark. This is a damn forest! She could be in trouble," I exclaimed. This was more than enough to let Alisha focus on me completely.
Our eyes widened and we went pale. What should I do?! That's when I hear a creepy knock on the door. Not a knock which goes back-to-back without even letting the first knock finish. It was this creepy knock which went like knock-pause for a sec- knock- pause for a sec- knock. It definitely was creepy. I led and was followed by Alisha and Vicky. Vicky had a lamp in her hand while Alisha had hurriedly got a bucket of water. I have totally prepared friends to watch my back.
I opened the door and something like a cold wave hit me on my face and completely drenched me in itself from head to toe. I look at my clothes, all wet. I'm so glad that I left my phone on the side table, yet, I gave Myra, probably, the angriest of my looks. In the background I saw kids, of maybe junior college, holding water guns and balloons filled with water and buckets. What is all of this about?
"Zara, duck!" for a second I didn't understand what Alisha meant. I was searching for a duck behind Myra and so was she when Vicky held me tightly and pulled me down with her and from behind, Alisha threw the water on Myra. Her jaw dropped. She just couldn't process the happenings.
"It's a war!" screamed a guy on top of his lungs.
A war it is then!
We all ran in different directions. No one seemed to care to see on whose team who is. The one who was least wet was supposed to get soaked. That was the rule no one had to say. "I just took a bath, I'm in no business of wetting myself again," Vicky said right before a girl splashed water on her.
"Wait you like prick, I'm gonna turn u into a wet sponge," I heard her say and then grab the pipe which the gardeners used to water the plants and fired on her. I haven't seen her get aggressive over a game. Never ever.
What was all of this about? I don't know. Maybe, I don't care. Or I suppose, it's just about the fun.
This lasted for over half an hour until the manager, whom the kids lovingly called as 'chief', called us for breakfast.
"Had fun kids," he asked us all as he passed by us while we were standing in a line to fill our plates.
We all nodded excitedly with our various versions of agreement.
"Where did you find them?" i had to ask Myra.
"They are 12th graders. They have taken ornithology as crash course and hence they were here for a group assignment. And what assignment is fun without a little memories, eh?"
"So they're your people?"
"Yeah, kind of. We got along very well throughout the trail. I even showed them a few tricks to get the best possible pictures of birds. You guys should have come!"
"I like this kid already," I heard Alisha say at the table. That's rare.
"I'm 18, stop calling me a kid," the guy said, obviously annoyed.
