Zara
"Yes, okay, YES!" Alisha said after a few minutes of silence. "He probably wanted to have sex with me hence I punched him in the face," she was saying when Vicky interrupted, "YOU PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE?"
"Duh, even made him spit out some blood. My knuckles did hurt but it was worth it and he made sure he would hit me even harder so that I would never repeat such a thing ever again."
"Why didn't you tell us," Myra asked.
"I'm getting married in less than a week now. What will you guys do even after hearing this? But the main question here is, how did you know about it, Zara," she said looking at me with suspicion.
"I know I shouldn't have but then I overheard your conversation with him the day we left for Goa," I told her.
"You did?"
"Mhmm."
"And you didn't tell us," Myra yelled.
"We deserved to know," Vicky said.
"Not my story to tell," I simply answered.
"Look guys, I'm supposed to marry this guy... I guess.. It's too late to back out now, so no point in discussing, right?"
"It's not too late. You've just been engaged! Late is when you are married and he does something dangerous to you! I won't let you suffer," I told.
"Look, suggesting you something and giving you advices and our opinions is our job. Obeying it is your call. And trust me when I say that this guy is wrong for you and that we are telling you this for your own betterment," Vicky said.
"As if I don't know! It's just that I can't back out. I've been a rebel and I've done what I wanted the whole of my life. Me backing out from this marriage, at such a crucial stage, would mean that I'm a spoil brat, and my parents will be called names at by the society and I won't let that happen to them," she said firmly. "They won't really be upset about this, you know, you backing out from an unhealthy marriage. But what they would be upset about is the fact that their daughter hid something like this from them and got married to the boy anyways. They would blame themselves for the rest of their lives for though you liked him, they were the ones who introduced you to him," I told her.
"It's all my fault," Myra whispered. I gave her a what-the-hell-are-you-saying look.
"You've done nothing Birdy," Alisha said.
"You don't get it," she raised her pitch. "I liked Vivan!"
Alisha giggled a bit. I have no clue how she can giggle at this but she still did, even I wanted to but I controlled. "Dude, are you aware about the discussion that's going on?"
"I liked Vivan! Vivan Roy! Not Vivan Desai. I used to like Alisha's Vivan and not mine back in 9th grade," she said.
"Are you kidding me," Alisha said. "But I have no clue how this affects this situation here."
"Cause he liked you too!"
"What the hell are you speaking," Alisha said, nearly choking on her words.
"Remember that day when you told us about your crush," Myra said, stammering and nervous as she shared this piece of information. "I met Vivan that day. I was asking him about all such stuff. I also managed to ask him who was his crush cause I was so upset to hear that he was yours. And then he said your name. I had two options. I could tell him that you liked him or I could tell him anything else. I'm sorry I didn't tell him that you liked him. I'm so so very sorry. I was a confused teen. Please.."
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME," Alisha screamed at her. A tear dropped from Myra's big brown eyes. The situation in front of us was going out of hands.
"Do you have any clue what you have done to me? We could have been together! We could have been happy! I wouldn't be in this dark hole had you, for a moment, not been selfish enough to do that! Are you out of you mind? You wanted him and then Vivan Desai as well? Just because you could not get Roy, you didn't let me be with him, and for your satisfaction you accepted Vivan Desai? What sort of a best friend are you?"
"Alisha calm down," I told her. Vicky consoled Myra who was in tears.
"Calm down my foot. He still loves me, do you know that? When he invited us at Hyderabad, at his sister's place for brunch, we stood in the balcony and he told me that he loved me! How good do you think that is? Are you proud of ruining my life!"
"Alisha please, she confessed, she is sorry," Vicky said.
"She confessed after 8 years!"
"I knew it too," Vicky said.
"You knew what?"
"I knew what she had done but she made me swear that I wouldn't tell anyone about this," she said. This was another shock for me. What else can go worse.
"And I called you my best friend since third grade," she said bitterly.
"I'm sorry but I have something more to confess. Zara I gotta tell you something too."
"What," I said swallowing a huge lump down my throat.
"Anusha was in Bangalore when I had moved in my new apartment. She came to visit me since she had heard that I had newly shifted," let this not be what I'm thinking. "She asked for a night out. She took me to a club. She got me drunk enough to make me spit anything that came in my head. I wish I hadn't done this, but I told her about you and Anmay."
"What did you do?" I couldn't believe on my ears.
"I told her about that experience you had while you were in bed with...."
"Oh my God! You were the one?"
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have gone."
"You know I hated her. You knew that she wanted him. You also know an unsaid rule of friendship that you don't go hangout with your best friends enemy!"
"I thought it would be rude. She was at my door!"
"She ain't no lost puppy that it would have had been rude. She is a fucking bitch, and you cannot be trusted!"
"But you both are still together, this shouldn't matter."
"Thanks to you, we aren't," I said. They all gasped.
"I'm so sorry," Myra said and so did Alisha.
"I didn't know, you didn't tell us," Vicky said.
"What was I supposed to say?"
"I'm so very sorry, please.. Alisha?"
"I had an idea about this," she said in a low voice.
"What the fuck," it was more than enough for me to loose my mind.
"Well, do you know that when your Arav was gone, he wrote to you. Every week. He updated you on his whereabouts for 3 months until he stopped cause he didn't get a respond. And guess how he didn't get a respond? I deleted your mails," I said out of anger.
"WHAT?"
"Yeah, I did it," she said. "At that time it was only because I didn't want that guy around you but now I'm glad I did it because it was a good revenge!"
"What's wrong with all of you, we need to calm down, it's the last day of our trip," Myra said.
"I don't give a damn right now! And you don't get to say calm down and shit. I told you about every single mail he wrote and even you didn't tell her! It's not all on me"
"You knew," Vicky asked her.

Narrator

The silence didn't last for another second. The room was filled with chaos and arguments where they accused each other of having ruined their lives with tears running down their cheeks. The heated conversation was stopped only when Alisha stormed outside the room with her phone. Spend a day without technology was finally over.
"Zara, I'm still your best friend," Vicky slowly said biting down every bit of her anger towards her for whatever she had done.
"My foot," Zara said as she walked out of the room as well.
Myra was about to leave the room as well in search for Alisha, getting forgiveness from her was more important. "Myra," Vicky said stopping her at the door. "I messed this up."
"I messed it up too," she said. "I'm sorry for hiding about those emails."
"Honestly, I'm not sure whether I can forgive you," she said. "But you're still my girl."
She gave her a firm nod and left while Vicky was left to shed her share of tears in the room.
Years of friendship crashing into dust in the fraction of moments. Was their friendship so weak that they couldn't handle a hurricane?
Alisha sat just in the beginning of the beach, hiding herself behind a bush. She looked at her phone bearing Vivan's message on the screen from before that day. 'We can still work this out if you give me a chance' it said. She looked at it and cried her fullest. She then looked above and cursed at the stars. Her heart was a chaos and life was a mess.
Zara locked in a maintenance room of the hotel, couldn't process what had just happened. Did her best friend really did all of this? She then thought of Anmay but then Kanish roamed in her head. What was all this about? It wasn't the time for mixed emotions. She had to choose now that she knew the truth. She could now explain what all had happened. But Anmay was now with Anusha. What should she do? She herself is clueless.
Myra looked for Zara and Alisha all over the hotel. Tired of searching for them she stopped in the garden at the swing set. She sat on a swing and cried all that she could. She made a mistake eight years ago. She isn't proud of that. But Alisha isn't in the mood to hear her out. She ran her hand in the frizzy mess that her hair was. "This wasn't supposed to end like this," she mumbled.

A/N and that's how their last day ends... What do you think? Comment below and give me some feedback! I know the narrators part is a little strange but I'll make sure to edit it but since I had update requests, here's a very rough version of this chapter. Enjoy reading and don't forget to vote!
