Tinky-Winky buried his face in his purple hands and tried not to sob. When he looked up he saw the other teletubbies faces, solemn and melancholy. But it wasn't the same. Laa-Laa had gone missing. Tinky-Winky felt a turmoil of confusion in his chest. They had been locked inside the Tubbytronic Superdome all morning. Tinky-Winky didn't even know the building had locks, but each and every entrance was sealed, no voice trumpets called to them, and the windmill stood eerily still. Tinky-Winky felt as if he and the other teletubbies were in a ghost town, trapped in a place that used to feel like home. What were they supposed to do without the voice trumpets? They guided the teletubbies every decision. Would they ever come back on?
That's when a banging sound broke Tinky-Winky's train of thought. He and his friends jumped, startled by the sudden noise. They slowly got to their feet to investigate. They peered out the window where the noise originated to see Laa-Laa knocking on the window!
"Laa-Laa!" exclaimed Tinky-Winky in excitement and relief.
"Let me in!" squealed Laa-Laa.
"We can't it's locked!" hollered Dipsy to make sure she heard through the glass.
Laa-Laa gave them a desperate and bewildered look.
"Wait, I have an idea! Let's break the glass!" cried out Po in an enthusiastic voice.
"Great idea, Po," Tinky-Winky congratulated. Being the largest, he grabbed the nearest table, and swung it at the window. The table shattered the window, shards flying in all directions. He squeaked in surprise as one shard cut across his leg. Squeezing his eyes shut in pain and clenching his teeth, Tinky-Winky tried to ignore the pain as Laa-Laa clambered in through the window. Laa-Laa rushed to hug Po, she was like a mother to the youngest teletubbies.
"Where were you?" asked Dipsy, annoyance creeping into his voice.
"I need to show you all something,"
said Laa-Laa solemnly, a stony look on her yellow face, "Follow me."
