Teletubbies: Escape From Darkness

Chapter 21: Fallen Brother

Everything was black. Not just darkness, but an enveloping absence of anything. Only they existed here. The teletubbies scanned the expanse of nothingness trying to pick out something, anything. Fear sunk into Dipsy's heart. What if he had led them somewhere even worse than the previous hellscape. There was nothing in sight, no food, no water, nothing. They'd starve here in this emptiness.
A cough ripped through the tense silence making the teletubbies startle. They whipped around frantically, searching for the source of the noise.
"Who's there," a voice asked into the void, raspy and broken.
"Who are you?" Tinky Winky called in response, suspicion in his voice.
"Tinky Winky? Is that you?" the voice croaked.
The hair on Tinky Winky's neck rose and he shivered, how did they know his name?
"Who are you? How do you know me?" he exclaimed in what almost sounded like anger.
"Please... help me" the person let out a broken sob, it barely had anything behind it, like a wheeze.
Laa-Laa began to hurriedly follow the voice, Po trailing behind her. Dipsy tried to stop them, to warn them of the danger, but they paid no attention. Sighing in defeat, Dipsy followed suit, with Tinky Winky not far behind. Their footsteps made no echo on the floor, the silence was eerie.
Laa-Laa let out a strangled gasp when she saw the figure before her.
They were in a heap on the ground and barely had the strength to look up at Laa-Laa when she came. It's limbs were chained, and the chains trailed off into the darkness, beyond the teletubbies line of sight. It's blue body was emaciated, it's ribs poked out like fingers desperately trying to claw their way out of the body. They could barely see the face, but its eyes were sunken in, so lifeless that if it weren't for its ragged breaths, the teletubbies would think it was dead.
Despite its horrific form, two features were unmistakable. From its head protruded a shape and its shrunken stomach sported a teletummy.
"You're... a teletubby?" Po whispered in shock.
