All of the teletubbies stood there, shellshocked and staring at their blue counterpart before them.
Laa-Laa took a hesitant step forward towards it but Dipsy grabbed her arm, stopping her.
"It could be a trap," he warned.
Laa-Laa pulled her arm away. "They're hurt," she said. He wanted to stop her but the look in her eyes was determined and brimming with worry.
She walked slowly toward their side and kneeled by them as the other teletubbies looked on. She opened her mouth to ask if they were okay but then closed it because it was very obvious that they were not okay. They looked like they were on the verge of death.
"Laa-Laa," they whimpered, lifting their head slightly to look at her.
"Who did this to you?" Laa-Laa asked sadly, even though she knew.
They hesitated for a moment, as if saying the name pained them. "The sun baby."
"Who are you?" Dipsy firmly asked as he stepped forward.
"You... don't remember me?" They asked in a small voice. The rest of the tubbies shook their heads. The blue teletubby looked like they were about to cry but they shed no tears.
The four of them exchanged glances and all shook their heads awkwardly.
"That makes sense, the sun baby wouldn't have wanted to raise any suspicions with my disappearance," they sighed.
"What happened? Why did he do this?" Tinky-Winky asked in concern.
"I accidentally stumbled upon runes under the ground depicting the five of us fighting the sun baby, I started to remember our past and he must have been able to sense his memory spell wearing off. Because when I went above ground he was waiting for me. I tried to run, to warn you all, but he spit fireballs at me. It was so painful and I should've died, I felt my skin melting and burning off my bones and smelled it, cooking like meat," they got choked up, remembering the horrific experience. "But it didn't stop, I just kept burning. I pleaded for him to end it, that I'd do anything, but he just laughed. I passed out from the pain and woke up here, chained to the floor in this cave," they trailed off. "I don't know how long it's been, it's felt like I've been here for decades. Alone, starving, but unable to eat or die. This is the ultimate punishment for an immortal being."
The other four teletubbies were quiet for a moment until Dipsy spoke up. "Immortal?"
They sighed "Yes. Over these how ever many years, memories have started to return to me. I've had a lot of time to think. Many eons ago we ruled over Teletubbyland. The 5 benevolent gods that cared for and protected the creatures that lived there. Tinky-Winky God of Kindness Dipsy God of Strength, Laa-Laa God of Determination, Po God of Integrity, and me, Beedee, God of Patience."
The teletubbies looked around at one another. Hearing these titles sounded outlandish, but they also made their hearts flutter. Like their hearts knew what their minds didn't.
Beedee went on, "The sun baby appeared one day, weak and small, claiming that his home had been destroyed by other gods. He sought a place to stay, protection. We agreed to let him stay. Little did we know, he was the God of Scavenging and Decay. He slowly sapped the life force of our land, very little, day by day. It happened so gradually that none of us noticed at first. But after some time we noticed our creatures were becoming sick from lack of nutrients. We searched for the cause and found the sun baby, full of energy and power. He struck us down with flames and we were caught off guard. He used his power to put us into a deep sleep and remove our memories. The creatures of Teletubbyland that did not join the sun baby fled underground, where they thought they'd be safe. But they all perished from lack of food, because they could not go to the surface without being killed by the sun baby."
The teletubbies looked at Beedee with a mixture of amazement and sadness. They were gods, but now they were outcast from their land and the creatures of Teletubbyland were long dead.
"What now?" asked Po, with little hope in her voice.
Beedee smiled. "Isn't it obvious? We fight."

Author's Note: Hi everyone, it's been about 5 years since I started writing this. I started in middle school and now I'm in college, which is crazy. Recently I've wanted to start writing again and I remembered this goofy fan fiction. It's amazing how many people have read and enjoyed my ridiculous story. I thought it would be fun to finish it for old time's sake and for everyone who may still want to read the ending of the story! The next chapter will be the last, thanks so much for reading!
