Dipsy woke up to be greeted by his head pounding like a war drum. He let out a groan and struggled to turn his head. Where was he? It was pitch black and Dipsy strained his eyes to see where he was. Suddenly, he remembered everything that had happened, from the voice in the cave to him smashing his head on the ground. His gut twisted in fear and apprehension. The others. Had he saved them? He cried out.
A worried yellow face came into view. "Dipsy! You're awake!" She began to fuss over a crude, fabric bandage wrapped around his head.
Relief shot through Dipsy. She was alright.
"Are the others okay?" he asked in concern, trying to sit up, only to be gently pushed back down by Laa-Laa.
"Well, Tinky-Winky is still injured but yeah we're okay," she smiled at her hands.
"What are we gonna do now?" he whispered.
Laa-Laa looked up at him, a worried look in her eyes. "I-I don't know," she fretted, wringing her hands.
"Hey," he put his hand on her shoulder. He usually wasn't an emotional or empathetic person, but seeing her upset made him feel weird. "It's gonna be okay." He smiled at her lopsidedly.
Suddenly, Laa-Laa wrapped her arms around him in a hug and buried her face in his shoulder. His face grew warm and he was glad Laa-Laa couldn't see him in the dark. He patted her back awkwardly.
"I-I'm sorry, I know you don't like that kind of stuff," she let go of him, flustered, and ran away.
Dipsy sat there for a moment stunned, unable to go back to sleep.

"Okay," Laa-Laa said, all business, "our main goal needs to be food. We're slowly starving out here. If we don't get food we're goners."
Laa-Laa had been avoiding Dipsy all morning. Which ticked him off. She hadn't so much as looked at him.
"So we have to go find food?" asked Po.
"Correct," she nodded.
"I haven't seen a sign of food or water since we've gotten here," Dipsy asked in challenge, "and the bear is still after us."
Laa-Laa didn't look him in the eye, which frustrated him even more. "We have to try, Dipsy, we're all starving."
Dipsy rolled his eyes and grunted his assent, causing Laa-Laa to frown.
"All in favor?" she asked the three other teletubbies. Tinky-Winky raised his hand and Po followed suit meekly. Dipsy sighed under his breath. Of course they agreed with Laa-Laa.
"Whatever," he grumbled, shakily getting to his feet.
"We'll have a better chance of finding something if we split up-" Laa-Laa started, but Dipsy cut her off.
"Spilt up?!" he exclaimed "Great father of the sun baby, that's the most idiotic idea I've ever heard of!"
Laa-Laa's eyes narrowed.
"Dipsy, shut up," she snarled.
Stunned, Dipsy and the other teletubbies gaped at her. Laa-Laa was always so kind and sweet but it was as if someone had flipped a switch.
"Now, Tinky-Winky you'll come with me, and Po and Dipsy can go search together," she turned on her heel and grabbed Tinky-Winky by the arm, quickly helping him off to avoid any contact with Dipsy.
Dipsy was left in shock and anger.
"Come on, Po," he growled, grabbing her hand and pulling her in the opposite directions. She squeaked in surprise and followed after him silently as he fumed.

Why in all of Teletubbyland would she go with him instead of me?! he growled in his head.

Um, probably because you were a huge jerk, the more reasonable part of him thought.

What? No I wasn't!

You should apologize to her

Yeah, that'll work, dimwit, seeing as she won't even look at me, he griped.

I'm not the dimwit here, you're the one having an argument with yourself.

Shut up. If I'm having an argument with myself that would mean you are having an argument with me which means you're also-

"Guys! Come quick!" Laa-Laa cried out, cutting Dipsy's highly immature mental conflict short and making Dipsy and Po turn around and begin sprinting towards them. Were they in trouble?!
