Dipsy and Po skidded to a halt beside Laa-Laa and Tinky-Winky.
"What in all of Teletubbyland-" Dipsy gasped looking out across the horizon. As far as the eye could see thousands of rigid, gloomy, dark mountains. Laa-Laa shook her head. "There's a path down there," she pointed below to a small, snaking path that seemed thousands of miles below the drop off they stood on.
"I suppose that's good news but how are we supposed to get down there?" Dipsy asked cynically.
All the teletubby's hopes plummeted. This seemed the only way out of the mountains, the only way to run from the sun baby, but it was impossible to reach.
The teletubbies were exhausted from hauling themselves and their singular belongings across the mountain. The small sliver of hope they had left seemed as distant as the path below them. They thought it couldn't get any worse. But in these types of situations, whenever you think it can't get any worse it usually manages to.
Suddenly, Po felt the air around them begin to heat up.
"Um guys?" she croaked out.
The teletubbies turned around to see a fireball hurling towards them.
"Great bibaly cheese!" Laa-Laa shrieked leaping out of the way and almost off the ledge to avoid the fireball. The teletubbies all dodged the fireball, feeling its heat singe their backs. Po's heart was pounding in her head.
"The sun baby! He found us!" Tinky-Winky cried out.
Another fireball flew from the sky and smashed onto the rock beside Laa-Laa who cried out as a hot ember seared against her fluffy, yellow behind.
Po suddenly stood up and whipped out her scooter, which she had tossed aside when she dodged the fireball.
She narrowed her eyes, "Grab on," she growled seriously, through gritted teeth.
The other teletubbies, too desperate to question, piled on the scooter with difficulty. Po placed her foot on the ground and pushed off. The scooter rocketed off the ledge as a fireball incinerated it behind them, narrowly escaping. The scooter plummeted downward towards the path and Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Tinky-Winky all screeched simultaneously. The scooter seemed to defy gravity, tumbling downwards, yet still propelling them forward.
"Hold on," Po gritted her teeth and revved the handlebars that had appeared on her scooter, "keep your hands and arms inside the scooter and prepare for a bumpy landing."
The scooter flew to a screeching halt on the path. Somehow the scooter and the teletubbies were all in one piece. The teletubbies all shakily stepped off the scooter.
"What in the name of the sun baby just happened?" Laa-Laa asked breathily.
Po looked down at her scooter which lay almost innocently unassuming on the ground.
"I have no idea."A/N: Once again sorry for not updating often. I'll be updating quite a bit more now that it's summer. If you have any predictions for what happens next comment or if you liked this chapter you can vote!
