Chapter 23 (Silver POV)

For about a week Silver didn’t sleep well. She was so worried about Maika. She’d kept her cool in the closet but that was hard. Finally, Damien interviened.

“Silver Kamarda, we are having a sleepover in your room tonight and I will drug you if I have to. You. Will. Sleep” he announced after school.

“Ok I’ve been meaning to have you over anyways” she agreed.

“Why can’t I come?” Maika whined jokingly.

“Because you can’t talk telepathically when Torrie is asleep Princess” Silver said.

“Fine, I’ll have my own party with me, myself, and I” Maika countered.

“Well while you’re partying by yourself, we’ll be partying together.”

“We’ll see whose having more fun.”

“Oh I’m sure me and Dam will.”

“Oh really?”

“Yea really.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

“Awwwwwwe you guys are so cute when you fight!” Damien exclaimed. Silver and Maika stared at each other for a second then burst out laughing.

“What it’s true!” Damien insisted.

“Ok ok wait, where’s Spark?” Silver asked.

“He had to stay and make up an English test” Damien replied.

“Ew, English” Maika shuddered dramatically.

 They reached the guys dorm and Damien slipped inside to get clothes for tomorrow while Silver and Maika waited outside.

“Have fun partying with yourself tonight” she joked.

“You know I will. It’s actually good Damien’s gone, I need to make more moonstone tablets.” Maika grabbed her hands, trying to warm them up from the early February cold.

“You should be taking those everyday to avoid the P.E.A.’s suspicions” she said.

“Yea I know, and don’t worry I have been” he said, looking straight in her eyes. “I would do anything not to get separated form you.” Silver wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her forehead to his.

“You’re my Pretty Pretty Princess, I’ll do anything to keep you here.”

“Hey transfer, back off of my girl” came an angered voice. Maika pulled away and shifted in front of Silver protectively.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know Silver was property” he said, calm and collected.

“Stop twisting my fucking words around. You stole my girlfriend, now I want her back” Damon’s anger obviously growing.

“Well as a happen to remember it, Silver dumped you” Maika replied coolly.

“No that’s not…”

“Yes it is Damon” Silver stepped out from behind Maika.

“I dumped you so that I could be with Maika. I don’t want you back, and I can’t remember why I ever dated a shit-head like you” Silver yelled, she’d never yelled at Damon before.

“It sure didn’t seem that way last week” Damon retaliated. Maika stiffened behind her.

“Oh yea right! I was with Maika, my BOYfriend all last week. I’m in love with Maika Suliken and there’s no way in hell I’d ever cheat on him with a man-whore like you” she turned to Maika.
