Chapter 5

Dani's p.o.v:

After getting to know each other more. We decided go down to the basement and watch a movie.

Luke and Michael headed home an hour ago cause we still have school tomorrow. Which sucks.

I was in my room finishing up some homework I had, when someone knocked on my door. "Come in!"

"Hey, Dan. How you doing?" My mom asked coming into my room and sat on my bed next to me.

"Good, just finishing up some stuff for school. What's up?" I asked, pushing my glasses back up as they started falling down my face.

Yes, I wear glasses, but only at night or when I'm going my homework. The rest of the time I wear my contacts.

"Well, you know that guy I've been dating?" She asked, oh god.

"Yeah, the one you won't let me meet for almost three years now"

"Sweetie, there's a reason why" She started.

"You're not going to tell me are you?" I asked, knowing her answer already. My mom has been with this guy for a while, but I've seen him before. Which scares me a little, I don't know why she won't let me meet him. He could a serial killer for all I know.

"Exactly, but I invited him over his Friday night. I know you're going to your dad's this weekend. But I want to get this out of the way, before anything else happens" She smiled.

"I can't wait to meet him. He seems to make you happy" I said smiling at her.

"Great, cause I need your approval before anyone else's" She sounded excited and kissed my forehead. "Good night, Dani. Just be yourself" She said before leaving.

I went back to my homework. "Oh!" My mom popped her head back in. "He has a son, that's your age. So he'll be there too. I haven't meet his son yet, but I believe he goes to your school"

"Oh okay, then I can't wait to meet both of them than" I said.

"This is going to be wonderful, I'm going to call him to confirm Friday night. I love you, Dan"

"I love you too, mom. Good night" I giggled.

~Morning~

"DAN! WAKE UP OR YOUR'LL BE LATE! LUKE WILL BE THERE ANY MINUTE!" I groaned as my mom yelled.

I had no interest in making an effort today. Not that I do it anyway. I grabbed jeans, my high tops, and on my blue and black striped longs sleeves sweatshirt shirt. I looks like thin sweatshirt, but it's a shirt with a hood.

"DANI! Luke's here!" My mom called for downstairs.

"Okay, be down in two minutes!" I brushed my teeth and hair quickly, applied my eyeliner, grabbed my backpack, and ran downstairs.

"Here's your lunch, have a great day" my mom said as I left the house.

I climbed into Luke's car. "You look....tired" He said.

"Thanks" I mumbled, putting a beanie on my head.

"No contacts today?" He asked started to drive out of my driveway and headed for the school.

"Not in the mood to put my fingers in my eyes. Plus, I over slept so I didn't have time too"

"You look cute with glasses" Luke smiled.

"I look like a nerd, that why I don't wear them"

"I thought it was because you had braces?" He asked confused.
