Chapter 10

Dani's p.o.v:

The next morning, I woke up by my alarm. I got dressed, packed the exact things I needed, brought my suit case downstairs, and collapse on the couch.

"Dani? Dani, wake up. It's time to leave" I slowly opened my eyes and lift myself up to see Luke standing over me.

"Sorry, I'm tired" I said getting up lazily.

"So what happened last night?" Luke asked grabbing my bags. I yelled to mom I was leaving and followed him out to his car.

"I don't know what to say about last night" I told him.

I really didn't.

"Come on, was it that bad" He laughed.

"She's getting married" I said quietly getting into the car. Luke came in soon after and looked at me.

"She is? Aren't you happy? I mean it seem like there's more you're not telling me" I looked up at him.

"I'm going to have a step brother" I said then looked away from him.

"Who? What's his name?"

"Calum" I said just below a whispered, hoping he didn't hear me.

"Calum? As in Hood?!" I nodded. "Calum Hood?! What the f#ck, Dan?! How is that even possible?" He started yelling.

"His dad, my mom. It just happened, I don't know what to do"

"I won't let him hurt you, I don't care what he is. I will kill him if anything happens to you" Luke told me.

"Can we go?" I asked.

"Of course" He started the car and we headed to my dad's.

Luke parked outside of my dad's house. Luke went to get my bag and I ran to the front door, getting my key out, and opening it. "Dad! I'm home" I called coming inside, and being attacked by my dad's dog. Yes, dog. My dad lives alone so he got a dog so it won't feel so lonely here. "Okay, I missed you too" I laughed, as he licked all over my face.

"Shadow, come" I heard my dad say and Shadow got off of me. I stood up, walking over and hugged my dad. "I've missed you, sweetie"

"I've missed you, too" I smiled. "And my little boy" I bent down and patted Shadow, I got to name him. He's a shy dog around new people and likes to sit in his corner in his room. Shadow is small/medium sized dog, a Beagle-Dachshund mix, if you don't pay attention he can knock you down.

"Hey, Peter" Luke said coming in. My dad walked over to him and gave him a hug.

"Hey, how you doing? You watching out for my little girl?" My dad asked him.

"I'm good, and of course I wouldn't let anything hurt her" Luke said back.

"That's great, I still don't know why you two aren't dating"

Oh my god, don't.

"Okay, dad. Leave" I whined.

"Okay, okay. I let you say goodbye" My dad said and left us.

"I hate him sometimes" I said.

"I love your dad" Luke laughed.

"When he's not being embarrassing"

"Come on, give me hug" Luke said opening up his arm. "I'll see you Monday" He said while letting go of me.

"See ya Monday" I said back. He kissed my head and walked out the house.
