Calum's p.o.v:

"Calum? You ready, we're leaving soon" I heard my dad say from down the hall.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a minute" I yelled back.

My dad was taking me to his girlfriend's house today, don't get me wrong I am happy for him. After my mom left us when I was 13, it hit him really hard, and we almost lost our house. He's been trying to get back on his feet for a while. Now that he found someone again, things have been getting better. He also told me that she has a daughter, that goes my school and in my grade. Guess, that's a bonus for me. Hope she's hot.

I quickly changed into jeans and a black button down shirt. Grabbed my phone, shoving it into my pocket, and walked out of my room to the front door, where my dad was waiting for me.

The car ride was boring, I was texting Ashton the whole time until we got there, until my dad started talking. "You excited for tonight?" He asked, turned down a familiar street.

"Uh, uh y-yeah" I stuttered. Wait, isn't this the street where Dani lives. No, maybe we're just passing by. My thoughts were wrong, when my dad pulled up to her house. This can't be happening, I mean yes! This is great, but bad.

I got out of car and just looked at the house. I followed my dad to the front door as he rang the doorbell. We waited until a woman opened the door and smiled at us, letting us in. I looked around from where I was standing. This is definitely her house. "I'm so glad you guys came" She told us.

"Me too, oh.." Dad put his hand on shoulder getting my attention. "His is my son...Calum"

I smiled at her. "Hi, it's nice to meet you"

"You too. My daughter should be down any minutes, she kinda of shy around new people" She said. That would have been helpful a long time ago.

"It's fine, I'm sure she'll warm up to me" My dad said. I heard foot step coming down the stairs and there she was. I don't think she saw me yet cause she didn't run back up. Her mom turned away from us and walked over to her.

"Oh, Dani come here" She said and brought her over. "Dani, this is David and his son..."

"Calum...." I heard her breathe as her eyes widen, when she saw me. Just as I expected, she ran upstairs away from me. I don't think our parents know that we know each other.

"Dani? Why'd she do that?" Her mom questioned herself. "Maybe I should talk to her"

"No!" I finally said, stopping her mom. "I should, I know why she did that"

"You two know each other" My dad asked.

"Yes. We have classes together" I told them. "I'll be right back" I ran upstairs and found her room quickly. It said 'Dani's Room' on the door with a big letter 'D' sticker on it. I knocked on the door and walked in slowly. "Dani?" I walked around her room until I found her on the bathroom floor, hugging her knees.

"This can't be happening, this can't be happening" She repeated.

I crouched down and put my hand on hand her shoulder, making her flinch, and look at me with fear in her eyes.

"Please, don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you" I explained, moving a little closer to her. "Come on, lets go back downstairs" I said holding my hand out. She just stared at it. "I don't bite" and she looked at me.

"But you will punch and kick" She said under her breathe. I picked up her, making her squeal a little, grabbed her hand, and pulled her downstairs. We followed our parents into the kitchen.

"Oh Dani, are you okay? It seem like something was wrong" Her mom asked.

"Yeah, I just remember I had to call Luke about something. Anything fine now" She smiled nervously.
